Gorgeous little cafe near the beach with some really nice meals and beautiful presentation. We had bacon and eggs, poached pear & coconut granola, and the smashed avo. All were fantastic and delicious! Highly recommended; well be be back!

Fantastic!
My very first meal in Tasmania and the bar was set very high.
Service was impeccable, professional yet friendly like your local.
We had the Eggs Benedict (pork 3 ways was awesome) and the Middle Eastern Omelette (also great).
Chef made some delicious kids pancakes too.

The homewares were tempting but being all of 1hr into our trip we got some of the fresh fruit in offer instead.
We'll definitely be back

What a beautiful beach cafe! Lovely decor and staff. Nice gift shop and the coffee was extremely good. The food was beyond what you would expect. Delicious and as good as any cafe in the city, I recommend the eggs Benedict with 3 way pork. 5 star. Will be back tomorrow

The Proprietor and her staff went above and beyond to serve my family at the end of the day. The food was well seasoned and fresh. It’s a wonderful and popular place to eat! Now that we’ve eaten there a few times, we’d like to add that it’s consistency good; a lovely cafe on the Central Coast!!

Great location & atmosphere, imaginative food, friendly staff, good little local cafe.

Had brunch with my family at La Mar while on holiday my family. My wife and I both ordered eggs on toast with Avocado. It was absolutely delicious - I think due to the very nice sourdough. The coffee was exceptional too - strong and bold without being bitter. Overall we were very satisfied.

Cute and quaint store with delicious food and decent serving size. Wanted to try everything on the menu! Selection of artisan local groceries and various homewares also available to purchase. Staff were also lovely.

This place is fantastic! It was our first stop when arriving in Tasmania. Delicious food, great coffee, friendly staff and a warm and enjoyable atmosphere AND a great selection of homewares and products to fill your pantry!

Never every drive passed this place. I had the burger with chorizo and rosemary chips. Best burger I think I have ever had, you can see all of the added goodness in it and you can tell it was made with love.

Make sure you book ahead. Even when busy on a Sunday morning, service was fast and friendly. Food fantastic with a wide range of options. Noticed other had their dogs with them out the front so will take ours next time then a walk along the beach. Well done and thank you team La Mar.

Always a lovely friendly place to eat. Sit inside or out for anyone who appreciates good wholesome food. Conveniently located a stone throw from Turners Beach, one of the best kept secrets of the North West at low tide!
