The Avenue - Surfers Paradise

Third or fourth visit to The Avenue with family. Go specially for the steaks which are always fantastic (currently two to choose from - Rump or Eye Fillet). My son really enjoyed his cocktail too.

Service is friendly at this long time Surfers institution and this time round (early Saturday evening 2nd Dec) really enjoyed the entertainer as well.

Steaks are priced at $40 and $45 and utilised an Entertainment Book 2 for 1 offer to the value of $40 so very happy all round.

Food is so good here. Ribs were cooked well melting soft $22 on specials and pizza was tasty. They have many specials like daily specials, lunch specials, tapas and happy hours.

Absolutely loved the food, service, atmosphere as a whole. We were running late thinking of dinner. They were closing the kitchen, but they still accommodated us to a meal, a table. The service was outstanding!!!! Well done to Management and staff!!!!! The Avenue has been an all time favourite of mine, so when I had returned after quite some time, I was absolutely loving the experience.

Came to this place just for a quick dinner, but when we went up to the bar and let Eddie, let’s just say it was like an Angel had dropped from heaven. I’ve been having a hard time recently as I recently lost my dog 🙏 a week ago and Eddie was so comforting an helpful. This was the kind of service I really needed and I cannot express my recommendation for this venue further!

What an absolute gem of a place!
Staff were absolutely amazing, shout out to Laurie who really went above and beyond, just had a good vibe and made sure all his tables were looked after!
Food and drinks were delicious, so good we stayed for hours and had two meals!!!

Super meal and cocktails. We had a great dinner here, service was super friendly and meals were served really quickly. The Karaage Chicken and pork belly were delicious! We would come back for sure: thanks!!

Great location with great atmosphere. There is live music at dinner time. Seeing that people from all walks of life can enjoy great diversity in this environment. This time it was with family so there were children eating together. Great food, friendly staff. Family Day is the perfect end to the day.

Awesome place. The Avenue. Visited here 2nd and 3rd June. We always choose to sit outside at the bench. It's great for people watching. Live music between 4pm and 8pm from 8pm love DJ with music for everyone. All walks of life to enjoy The Avenue. I have to give credit on entertainment and live music. No one was sitting down. The DJ had everyone on the dance floor because it was music that you COULD DANCE to! Nailed it and always do The Avenue. Bigger bounus being between 4pm and 6pm super crisp Great Northen beer $5 each.... 😛🤩🍻 I'm not sure about other beers, but shots are $6 as well in those 2 hrs..... WOOHOO! Shout out to the awesome security guard Yassine. Yasmine, every time we visited Yassine has always had a smile on his face. Nothing ever seemed too much for him regardless of how he was being treated by patrons - RESPECT 🙏 bar staff are great, friendly, and helpful. I always🥰 love coming here, enjoying our Avenue experience every time. Great for families, couples, throuples, singles and whoever or how many of you there is.

We love The Avenue! The staff are always friendly and the food is great. One of the things we love the most is that there’s such a wide range of people there, so everyone fits in and is welcomed.

Crispy pork belly is exceptional.
I guess it is because of the sauce and the salad that comes with it.

I don't eat raw oysters but my friend is craving for seafood so yeah, it's there in the picture.

I have the thought that it is a beachfront restaurant but it is not. Otherwise, all good 👍🏻

Dinner on our first night in surfers we stumbled on The Avenue and what a find. Started with a jog of mojitos that hit the spot followed it up with dinner. I had an amazing salad - one of the highlight meals of the weekend. To find out they had a drag show on and we didn’t have tickets was disappointing but we will be back. Great place for everyone service was good and so was the food.

We came for the drag show and just had the best time! The food was great and we laughed so hard at the drag queens.

Loved eating and drinking here. Happy hour cocktails are delicious! We had the ribs (cheaper on Thursday) and the pork and lamb ragu. Both were 10/10. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend eating here.

Atmosphere and staff are so helpful, kind and accomodating. Delicious cocktails and food with many option and at a good price. (The white wine Sangria is a new fav!) Will definitely go back. 100% recommend on a Thursday night

Came for lunch to grab a snack with my colleague . Food is fair priced and decent amount for the value. Best part was the staff, just wonderful…. Would be back for that reason.

Love the quaint eatery resting beautifully in surfer paradise. Enjoyed this nice salad. My friends enjoyed the excellent burger & fries. Excellent table service. Food season to the palate. Nice music and atmosphere to enjoy a peaceful lunch..plenty of seating area..no long lines to wait in...definitely a plus. Truly a welcoming culture diverse diner. Staff friendly & courteous.

Had the works and Margherita pizza, was excellent, great service and atmosphere as well. The reason for 5 stars was the security gentleman named Yassine, absolute professional and made us feel extremely welcome compared to the usual security experience you receive. Definitely deserves a bonus from his boss.

I wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised by the helpful friendly staff, the vast range of on tap beers, and the ALL pizzas $12 thursdays (normally $22 or so). There is a good range of food from the restaurant perspective, as well as different ‘attractions’ everynight including comedy acts etc (thursday night wasn’t maybe child appropriate!!) but great craic nevertheless! Overall recommend

Had a great meal here, with my wife and daughter. My wife had a rump steak at the special price of ausdollars 18, knocked down from 32. My daughter and I had a mixed platter. I've got to say both meals were outstanding, the rump steak in particular was one of the best rumps we had ever tasted. The service was timely and very friendly.
Overall a very good experience.
