Goom Gooruduron-Yeran Campground

It’s Djandak at Dja Dja Wurrung country it’s all good take a walk and then stay awhile.

Just watch out for the asbestos, otherwise quite good.

it is now close to the road and a water tank. it also has an area, that campers have been setting up camp fires. The new campsite is slightly undulating.
the old campsite is still an option. along with all the attractions in the area. I have just cycled from Bendigo to Castlemaine. 16/10/23. it took me around 5 hours. Old bloke on an old mountain Bike. ( study the map, as sign posts are vvv poor.)

It is a campsite! Situated 300m in off the track. Nice and quiet, you just need to plan ahead and do a food and water drop prior to planning your hike.
The area is surrounded by native animals and some spectacular granite Rocks.
The water race at Springs Rd is amazing, with old cascades part of the race.
In summer there is an abundance of blackberries to harvest in the area.
There is a water tank close by, however I would not rely on this as my primary source of water. In spring the Race has an abundance of flowering native plants. Keep an eye out for snakes.

As stated, it's just a campsite. It's situated just off the Goldfields track for cyclists and hikers. No road access, hence the negative reviews from those arriving by car.

Not much shade. 4G still works here. Haven't seen any other people. Of course, there were nicer places along the path to camp. The rain water tank is the only amenity, but it is much appreciated!

Just a campsite need to bring everything, but if you like nice rocky hill bushland it's a very nice spot. Kangaroos around.

Arrived to find the gates locked, no signs at the entrance. It seems this is not a public campground anymore.

Just a spot to camp on the Goldfields track. No ammenties, nothing here but trees and the track.
