Friendly efficient welcome. Very shady unpowered sites. Very clean amenities with all we needed, including camp kitchen with fridge, hot plates etc. They even had a water truck to damp the tracks and cool it all down on a very hot afternoon! How’s that for service? LOVED the fire fly show in the bushes around our campsite on dusk! Magical!

Great park in bush setting. Paul takes you to your site, well set out & run efficiently. We had huge powered site. Amenities shower/toilet combo, rustic vibe, very clean with hand wash & paper towel. A great relaxed atmosphere here, thermal springs only short distance. They ran a film night when we were there too. Highly recommend, would have stayed longer if could.

Absolutely amazing place! From the lovely lady who checked me in, to the gorgeous Matthew who showed me to my site the place had me at hello!
The site I was given was powered and shady and perfect! The showers and toilets are fantastic and huge! They are a combined toilet shower cubicle and so spacious! The shower heads are also clean so all Jets point at you!
The Springs were so incredibly relaxing! So close, a short walk but having a pool noodle is a must! Thank you for an enjoyable stay I'll definitely come back! 😊

Arrived just after 9am and lucky to get a powered site. Lady on reception so welcoming and professional. Amenities spotless. Location is fantastic and only 5 minute walk to beautiful natural heated springs. Float down with a pool noodle to enjoy nature’s serenity

This is a lovely place. Good sized sites and clean amenities. Really close to the springs. Next time I'd probably go for a powered site though. The reason being that a family of feral pigs walked through the bushes past our unpowered site... a bit too close for my liking!

The springs are definitely worth a visit. Just below body temperature & crystal clear, you can spend hours in the water watching the occasional turtle or fish. I'm told there are harmless fresh water crocs here but didn't see any myself.

A very well set up park. Lots of trees for shade & privacy. Lots of flat, level sites. Very clean amenities & plentiful washing machines 2 x $2 coins. Walking distance to bitter springs. Pets allowed 👌🏼. A great place to relax for a few days!

Great park easy walking distance to bitter Springs thermal pools.
Crystal clear warm natural spring fed pool with a 150mtr stretch you can drift along with the slow current.
Take a pool noodle !!! It's so peaceful.
Park Amenities are clean tidy and modern.
Plenty of space for vans tents and campers.
Although Get to the park early to ensure a site as it fills pretty quick after 12.00 .
Better than Mataranka springs imo.

Stayed in an unpowered site amongst the paperbark and palm forest. Saw loads of agile wallabies. Swimming in the springs is something to be experienced. 37 degrees Celsius and a beautiful oasis. Saw turtles and fish swimming. Beware peak season, the springs do get busy.

Absolute oasis on the outskirts of town. Friendly staff, amenities clean, well organised check in assistance to site. Easy walk or drive to thermal springs.

Spent an amazing couple of nights at Bitter Springs. We arrived at 11am and still managed to secure a site. The unpowered sites are definitely the best and cost us $40 per night. Greg who takes you to your site was awesome and found us a spot right next to the river. A number of the other sites were quite shady which was not great for people who needed solar power but would be awesome when the weather starts to warm up. The amenities were clean and spacious and all the staff were so friendly. Bitter springs was only a leisurely 5-10 min walk from the campgrounds.

A great spot for an overnight or even stay a few days if you have the time.
Booking was very easy and check in was quick and smooth.
We stayed in a cabin - it was comfortable and had a kitchenette for us to make a little breakfast before we hit the road.
The bathroom was clean, showers have good pressure and flowing hot water.
The location is very close to bitter springs - the most beautiful natural thermal pool in the area.
All you need when you’re passing through this great spot.

Great park. It’s quite big when you walk around but you don’t get that feeling at your own site as they have set the park up smartly with enough trees to make you feel like you have small sections to yourself. Staff at reception very friendly and it’s a well organised property. The Bitter Springs rival the Mataranka springs area.
The bonus for us was the park sits along a little river where you can take the dogs for a swim. We didn’t see any snapping handbags.

Unbelievably good campground! On arrival everyone is personally shown to their site so no mixups. The amenities and camp kitchen are spotless and because the staff take pride the guests take care to always clean up after themselves too. It's shady and quiet with gorgeous views along the river on one side. Someone put us onto staying here, and so glad they did.
Also loved Patches the cow that lives in the paddock next door. She loves a head rub.

Great place in Elsey National park by the Roper river where you might be lucky to see fresh water crocodiles. Nice and clean, great showers, had a swap books little library, fresh vegs and fruits from reception. Bitter springs the best natural thermal pools in the area surrounded by paperbark and palm forests. Just walking distance from the campground.

Great park for just resting and relaxing. Couple of minutes walk to the spring which was really good. They also have good amenities. A water truck drives around to wet the roads so there is no dust. Feels like you are with nature. Would recommend this park to all.

This is our third year here, usually stay one month. As usual the springs are amazing. 250 meters of crystal clear water at 33 deg., as clear as the Barrier Reef. Best hot springs in Oz. Great park, beaut new ensuite amenities. Best hot showers any park. Friendly, helpful staff, blue skies , 24 deg outside temp. What's not to like? cheers Ross and Nirmal ( "Bad Max")
