Amazing Force of nature with the quartz wall exposed above the surface.

Great bathing experience! I preferred it over the other springs as it’s less busy and more natural. The springs take you around a narrow path to the end of the bathing area for you to jump out and walk to the start again. The current is quite strong and the water quite deep so do not go if you aren’t a capable swimmer. Gorgeous blue water and the water averages around 33 degrees.

Bitter Spring thermal pool is very popular and has crystal clear warm water that is flowing so you can enter water and float or swim down river to the exit point.

This place is like heaven on earth! It is not as busy as Mataranka Hot Springs, the scenery is surreal and makes you feel so calm. The water is perfect temperature where you could stay here all day. Make sure you are sun smart as it’s pretty exposed. We loved how the current takes you down the stream and you can even bring a snorkel to explore and the best time to go is from 7 am then after 2 hours more people start coming in slowly. Bring a pool noodle and try to buy one at Kmart before you come for a visit (it’s cheaper!)

Gorgeous and a lovely place to swim which is safer than Bitter Springs as there is absolute clarity as to what is swimming in there.

Unbelievably clear water. Perfect water temperature. One of the most peaceful places I've ever swam and snorkeled. Keep an eye out for the wildlife in the area. We spotted some turtles.

Beautiful place to go for a relaxing day in warm water enjoying the company of turtles and little fishes. A snorqueling gear can give you great view in the pure natural water. If it is on your way it is a must see. And it is for free.

Best pool ever. Seriously, well maintained, very hot water, crystal clear, no entry fee. Go in morning or evening to avoid crowds

Beautiful..lots of people but still worth it. Grey nomads complaining about logs in the river was the only let down

Great place to stop between TC and Katherine. When parking your car walk right towards the path! We went left which led us onto a bit of an adventure. Highly recommended a pool noodle and goggles. Just float for hours! We arrived around midday and it wasn't too over crowded but like any spring, the earlier the better.

This place is so beautiful. When you drive in a d look at the water, it looks yuk. But as soon as you get to the springs, wow, what a difference. So crystal clear a d a gentle current to take you along. Pool noodles or some sort of small flotation device is best. There are steps to get out at the end, and then a cement path to do it over again. Water is warm but not hot like a Thermal pool. Surrounded by PM's. It is way better that the man made one's in water parks. Where else would you occasionally get some slime as well brushing up against you.

Really lovely place! Float around in really warm water. Not the worst idea to bring a snorkel. Crystal clear water!

Short walk from the public parking. Plenty of public access to the water. The water was amazingly warm, but be careful of lowlight... bitey bugs are out.
