Windward Ballooning Perth (Avon Valley)

Fantastic memorable family experience. We were keen to do during Canola season, and it did not disappoint, the morning was perfect. We had about an hour in the balloon. A little icy on our feet, recommend wearing warm socks.
Sven, our pilot was excellent, knowledgeable and we felt very safe.
Windward was well organised, from booking to the great ground team all round from start to finish. Lovely breakfast to follow.

We had an amazing lifetime experience. The view above is beyond imagination. The ride was smooth like butter. The price include the breakfast and breakfast was too good. Damien who flight balloon he was amazing and guy with good sense of humor. He was cracking joke and he deliver a clear instruction about safety and precaution. The fun part about this balloon trip was; we got the opportunity to help the balloon pilot Damien. Everyone were having fun while working like moving the basket, inflate the balloon and packing the ballon. We were around 20 ppl in one basket. I already recommended my other friend circle to visit this place and go for ride😊

What a great group. The pilots really work to give you the best experience possible and the groundcrew are exceptional at looking after you. Highly recommended for a very memorable early morning, worth every cent.

The experience lasts for about for 4 hours including set up, flying for 1 hour, packing down, and breakfast. The 1 hour of flying felt like a satisfying amount of time, I was worried it would be over too quickly but we were up in the air for a good length of time!

Definitely recommend wearing a hat or hooded jacket, as the top of your head gets very toasty so close to the flame while you're in the air. Also recommend wearing boots and jacket/pants you don't mind getting muddy, as you'll be walking around in muddy fields at the start/end and while packing away the balloon you'll be hugging a huge heavy muddy armful of balloon material against your body as you try to pack it away as a group.

We couldn’t have had better weather for this memorable experience. It was so peaceful and even more special to enjoy it with my person. He is usually afraid of heights, but his fears melted once in the air and after being well informed about the balloon operations from professional staff and their guidance throughout the morning. The champagne big brekky at the end was a delight! An exceptional bucket list item - highly recommend 😊

We absolutely loved this champagne breakfast ballooning package!! It was for a very special occasion, our 30th wedding anniversary, and it will be one to remember. We came and stayed overnight in Northam to catch the very early sunrise flight. Our balloonist pilot, Donna, gave us a running commentary with funny little things said along the way. With the quiet and calm serenity, we were just floating over the farming paddocks and seeing many baby animals and learning little things about the town as we went. We were just soaking in the gorgeous sunshine and enjoying the adventure. Thank you to all the staff you were all so lovely from our phone call booking from Michelle, I wish I had got to meet you, it felt like I knew you, sensitivity to smells and bi-carb soda was in our conversation as i was worried about any fumes on the day. And there weren't really many, too bother me.. To the absolute funny ground crew lady who made us all feel at ease in the beginning, employee of the month. Lol. To all the staff at our beautiful champagne cooked breakfast, thank you for the wonderful food it was delicious. We enjoyed the tea and scones, too. If there was anything i could say to make this breakfast a better experience, it would be a heads up from the ground crew of when they were leaving the airport etc, for breakfast, and they could pre cook most of the food just before our arrival, scones would be great after then. We were lucky to be served from the first half of the restaurant, but half had to wait longer than the first half. Otherwise, thank you, everyone, for an all-around, wonderful day! 😍🥂

Windward delivered the most spectacular experience of our lives and we shared the joy with our two small children. Gliding over fields of bright yellow canola, sheep, wheat and patches of fog... it was a flight only dreams are made of!

Windward Balloon Adventures was a magical experience. Sven our pilot was terrific and Angela part of the ground crew was bright, bubbly and very welcoming. Even with feeling a little apprehensive at first you soon forget and are able to just take it all in with amazing views.

I had an incredible experience with Windward Ballooning in Perth, Avon Valley! Sven, our pilot, made the flight truly memorable. Having been on several ballooning adventures before, I can confidently say that this one was exceptional and didn't disappoint. I highly recommend giving it a go! The ground crew was also top-notch, ensuring everything went smoothly. What an absolutely amazing activity.
Everybody needs to do this at least once in their life.
There are no words nor pictures that can fully grasp what this experience is/was like.
You simply need to do it.
Even for those terrified of heights (like myself), it was amazing.
The company is brilliant (shout out to Ange #EmployeeOfTheMonth lol) & give you the best time.
Northam is stunning.
The breakfast that followed delicious.
The biggest thing to note is that you NEED to wear THICK socks or boots. It gets freezing while you're setting up.

Had an amazing flight on 2nd July, it was so peaceful up there! It was a surprise 50th bday present for my little brother, and finally used my 50th present in the process! Watching the sunrise, the magnificent views of the landscape and nearby balloons, floating past the sheep, cows and jumping kangaroos, feeling the warmth of the winter sun shining on your face, and the heat from the balloon and comraderie of fellow passengers. The morning laughs with our wickedly funny host Angela and running commentary and expert piloting from Sven with our gentle landing! Cant forget Michelle, whose friendly service over the phone and her helpful hints made the booking a very easy process! Thank you Windward Ballooning, I will be back again one day! ❤

Highly recommend this experience. The staff are amazing & know exactly what they are doing. Calm, professional & fun. I felt so safe (I’m generally quite scared of heights). Clear, beautiful weather & the breakfast was generous & delicious.

My partner and I did this morning and it was just the most amazing experience, I couldn't recommend it enough (although make sure you rug up!!). What an amazing experience we had this morning hot air ballooning with this company. Wouldn't have even thought about this type of adventure had we not been given it as a birthday gift. Tranquil and peaceful experience floating across the magnificent fields and town of Northam. Had a fabulous time.
