Varias Restaurant

Fabulous place for lunch! And dog friendly too. We sat outside with our dog who had her own water bowl set up. The terrace is fully covered which was great as it was a little rainy. If we didn’t have our dog with us, we would have chosen to sit inside which looked stylish and comfy.

The food itself was divine. We enjoyed both the entrees and mains - delicious flavours and beautiful presentation. Lovely casual, friendly service. And great coffee to finish which was a lovely surprise. We had matching wines and enjoyed them so much we bought a few bottles on the way out.

A must do for lunch while in the region! Pop it on your list.

A lovely find - this restaurant forms part of the Queensland College of Wine Tourism and I booked the venue as a treat for my elderly father and partner. We went for the 'Signature Lunch Dish - Medley of Mains'. Lunch was served with 3 paired wines and dessert was accompanied with a sweet dessert wine. In terms of food, I'd give it 4.5* - overall very well prepared with brilliant flavours that match very well with the paired wines. Food was elegantly presented. Together with dessert, we all left feeling sufficiently fed! The restaurant was set up along a modern contemporary style that overlooked a small body of water and vineyards that are part of the ground. Tours of the vineyard are possible and need to be booked.

An excellent restaurant located on the outskirts of Stanthorpe. The menu is regularly updated, the service is good, and the recommended wines represent good choices. Definitely worth a try.

We had expected a nice meal but the food surpassed our expectations. Was able to sit outside with the dog which was appreciated.

A beautiful venue with amazing food and lovely staff. The chefs are young but producing amazing food. We chose the medley paired with the wine which was great. We havebfelt we would have missed out if we hadn't of had the medley. A must visit for lunch and I can only imagine the dinner would be great too.

Wow! Wow! Wow! This is a special treat. We went here for lunch and it was a sensational experience. We did it as part of a wine tour with Filipos tours and had a paired wine tasting with our lunch. The quality of the food is first class. You will not get a better lunch, please visit here. The service is excellent.

Great lunchtime experience. Friendly, helpful staff and superb food with matched wine - we chose the Medley of Mains (smaller, tasting glasses of wine so unlikely to put you over the limit). Would thoroughly recommend.

Second visit to Varias restaurant did not disappoint. So happy to indulge in beautiful food, wine and service. Also as a coeliac I can confidently eat here. Love it and will be back every time we visit Stanthorpe.

The highlight of Stanthorpe was having lunch here. The chef selection was superb. Great wine made onsite, especially the red. Friends in Brisbane recommended this place for good reason. The food is 11/10. Stunning!

Delicious food, better than other "professional" restaurants that I went to locally. Excellent portion sizes (2 course lunch filled me up to not need dinner!!) and very well cooked. Quality worth waiting for.

What a find… Stanthorpe and the surrounding areas in the off season (early January) is an interesting place to find a good place to eat. Websites say places are open when they aren’t and others haven’t been updated in years.

It was a relief therefore to find somewhere that was actually open for a birthday lunch and actually offered a menu you could peruse rather than a set menu or platters.

The staff were lovely and attentive and more than happy to modify dishes to accommodate one of our party that is Pescatarian. The food was outstanding - hats off to the chef and team.

The drinks were also very competitively priced, $11 for a 500ml can of local beer (old quart pot) and generous glass of onsite wines from $8.

If you are in the Granite Belt and looking for a really delicious and filling lunch / dinner give Varias a go.

Every time we visit Stanthorpe, Varias is a must and book early! Superb new menu - highly recommend the kangaroo 10/10, duck and wash down with the Banca Ridge sparkling red, and maybe take home a bottle or two. Cheers chef and college crew.

Restaurant provides a daily a la carte morning tea menu. In winter, dine in front of the fireplace or on warmer days enjoy dining on the deck overlooking the spring fed dam and vineyard.
It also offers a world class dining experience featuring an outstanding a la carte luncheon menu using the freshest of local produce in a award winning architecturally designed facility.
It’s open to the public for lunch from 10am to 3pm, 7 days a week and dinner from 6pm on Friday and Saturday evenings.

A very enjoyable dining experience. Excellent food and service. The olive sourdough with chevre, the octopus were outstanding. The main meals were solid performers and the Eaton's Mess was divine.

Great stop for interesting lunch. We had the recommended wine which went well with our food. Will be back again.

Enjoyed an interesting, very delicious lunch here as part of our wine tour. Lovely professional service in a lovely setting outdoors. Loved the petit Verdot especially. Very welcoming of my dog also thank you 😊
