Kawana Beach

Close-by and free of charge parking, lovely beach and not very busy. As you can see, waves quite high, may be a bit tricky with children but great for surfers.

Gorgeous, very long, fine sand, beach! Very few people around and smaller waves than other beaches. Highly recommended a visit!

Beautiful and quiet fine-sand beach a short walk away from bus station and shopping centre. Great way to spend a morning!

Stunning beach to take your dogs for a walk, with plenty of open access beach and clear waters. The beach was not too busy when we visited in the afternoon.

We got pummeled by some crazyyy waves here today and absolutely loved it. The water was warm (25°C) but refreshing. There were people there, but it wasn't crowded by any means. There are bathrooms nearby (with soap at the sinks yaay) to get changed, along with a water fountain and a shower to rinse sand off when you're leaving.

The beach is free for the public to access and is monitored by the Kawana Lifesavers until 6 p.m. If you're not familiar with the waves, I'd advise against swimming outside of lifeguarding hours.

My favourite Beach on the Sunny Coast. Peaceful and wonderful waves. Never too crowded.

Such a lovely beach not normal too busy, on the incoming tide on a good arvo easy to pick up a good feed

This is my favourite beach on the Sunshine Coast because it’s quiet, clean, has great parking, allows dogs and is spacious.

Beautiful spot to start the day. Some meditation, yoga and a swim in the warm water this time of year!

Windy and fun

Gorgeous beach - nowhere near as busy as Mooloolaba. It's a bit steeper into the water, but the lifesavers are great and mark out the flags really well. Surf Club is right there too, or even Kawana Shopping World is a short walk🙂

Beautiful beach, great day out for chilling, surfing or whatever you want from a beachfront. Plenty of street parking g along the strip.

Be careful of the riptide, things got pretty hairy pretty quick. Can be dangerous.

Beautiful beach, very exposed to wind. Not as busy as mooloolaba but still close enough to shops, restaurants etc.
