Orso Thai

A big ask to give 5 stars but I really couldn't find anything wrong or lacking and plenty of pluses including price.
Two attached photos show what is left of the meal! Nothing.
My Red Curry chicken and small rice smelled so good I actually forgot to take a picture. Very generous portion size also.
My wife's old Thai staple, Pad Thai, was also of generous size and spot on taste and texture. She just added a little chili to her usual taste.
Interaction with staff was good and they were attentive and friendly too.
This place has food with the taste that we used to get in a few places in Brisbane, but alas, not any more.
So this little place in a little town like Stanthorpe, is a treasure to find.
Summary:
We will definitely be back. We want to work our way through some more of their menu.

Orso Thai is the best restaurant in Stanthorpe for me as I truly adore asian food.
pork chop and pork stir fry with ginger souce are my favorite. ❤❤
tom yum soup is good for me as I love sour taste. if you do not into sour, I'm not recon you to try this. the second image is chicken with peanut which I don't really recall the name but taste awesome!

Must try restaurant in stanthorpe 😇 We did a road trip from sunny coast to stanthorpe. We did a take away from the Orso . We tried chicken panang curry, chicken rice noodles, chicken stir fry and rice. The quality of the food was amazing and quantity of the food was good enough to share. The chef is amazing and looks like knows the balancing of spices and flavours. Thank you for the complimentry vegetarian spring rolls, we appreciate the kind gesture. We had a wonderful experience.

Great service and awesome food.If you want authentic thai food, this is the place to go too.

We ordered 3 mains, 2 rice and 3 entrees. Great value and large portions. Big deep plastic containers filled to the brim. I can honestly say this is authentic Thai, just like food I've eaten in Thailand. I ordered the Pad Thai with prawns and it contained about 8 large fresh king prawns. Fabulous. The other ordered Pawns in ginger which was to die for, again full of large fresh prawns. Our vegetarian friend had the fried tofu rice and loved it. Fish cakes, chicken satay and spring rolls again, authentic. Whilst we waited for our take away, we arrived when they opened at noon, 5 lots of people came in and ordered take away, there were also people eating in the restaurant. This proves that the food is popular even at lunch time on a Thursday. We waited about 25 minutes for our order which was fair as the food is worth the wait.. Theresa who is the face taking orders, as well as being the waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and lovely. We are going back again today for another round. Highly recommend.

The first time I went, I didn't think much but I went again and it was much more enjoyable. I think I just picked the wrong dish the first time. The restaurant is very basic but pleasant. The staff are very friendly, the waitress is great and nice to chat to. I'd recommend the dish with pumpkin (I can't this of the name) but it had beautiful big prawns and was almost like a laksa....absolutely delicious!

Come here several times with some of my friends and we always enjoyed our dinner.
I really recommended the fish fillet (fish choo chee & pla rad prik) that’s my favourite ❤

If you want to have a fast service come early when they just open, also if you bring some of your friends it’s better to reserve a table before coming 😊

This place is a great find. Very fresh produce - and tasty Thai ! Large portion sizes - requested containers to take remainder of the food home. Would definitely return.

Had an awesome dinner at Orso Thai on Saturday night. Vast choice of delicious food, excellent friendly staff, who explained some of the dishes. Then they brought out our choices very quickly. The dishes we chose were shared between the four of us and provided a very filling and nutritional meal at a very reasonable price. Well worth visiting and enjoying.

Very tasty and spicy. Really enjoyed my time eating here. Affordable price, really worth the money to what you're actually getting. Would definitely go back here again for a feast. Big portion as well. Impressive!

The food was plentiful and delicious, very authentic, the staff were helpful and were up for a laugh, the restaurant was clean and the toilets were good. The amount of people coming and going was a good indication of the quality of the food, but, as with all Thai restaurants in Australia, it's not cheap.

Cheap and cheerful. You can tell by the preparation time, taste and presentation that the dishes are extremely fresh. Thank you and see you next time!

Not locals but travellers, the food was lovely, plenty of choices on the menu, quick service and staff very friendly. One of the best Thai restaurants I have been to.
