Don't let the unpretentious decor put you off trying this excellent cafe. Mary and Neil have never disappointed over several years, even when very busy.
The burger with the works has become my usual- suggest skipping breakfast before having one. The kebabs are also very nice.

This cafe cannot be beaten for simple, cheap, delicious eats! It has now become my go to for takeaway brekky before work weekly, I love just a simple brekky, just delicious home cooked food and had been struggling to find somewhere in the area since I’d moved here. The big breakfast is so tasty and for only $11 a huge amount of food! The couple that run the cafe are always very nice too. So glad I found this little unassuming place.

Love this place. Great value for money meals and it is amazing! Hands down the best Eggs Benedict we've ever had. Very generous servings and very friendly staff. I believe the shop is owned and operated by an old couple. Love coming here. Regular customer. We go out of our way to come here.

An absolutely perfect meal and experience. Mary & Neil are beautiful people, and their staff are so friendly and helpful. ALL the food is so fresh and the meals are prepared and presented perfectly. I can not recommend this beautiful little cafe enough. 10/10.

However for me, I would say it is anything on the menu from Mediterranean Flames!!!!!

Always good; fresh food great milkshakes, good coffee. Home made cakes are a treat. Great family run business, happy to support this unpretentious local gem.

My family has been going to Mediterranean Flames since we found them in 2008. Even when they’re incredibly busy, Mary and Neil make sure the food is delicious and always go above and beyond for their customers. They’ve got great salads, burgers, focaccia, etc. and grilled chicken that I’ve been trying to replicate FOREVER. They also have some truly tasty bakes for your morning tea needs (the melting moments, though! 😱😍). The coffee is always good, and they also sell some great coffee beans for your home brews!

Don't be deceived by the 80's tiles and daggy entry to this cafe, which is an old fish and chip ship, but is now stocked with other more modern cafe foods.
Fish burger for under $10 is terrific - fresh panini bun, freshly grilled
Lamb wrap with salad was excellent.
Skinny cap with Byron Bay coffee co beans was good, and they stock classy cool drinks - Bundaberg range, other gourmet soft drinks, etc.
And the baklava (the most obvious nod to 'mediterranean') and cakes look impressive - next time.
5 stars for this review doesn't mean 5 star restaurant - but it does mean 5 star freshness and value of money.

#1 family owned business in the area. The food is always 100% authentic and fresh! The best chicken kebabs I’ve had! Please go in and enjoy the delicious food and coffee :)

I enjoyed a late big breakfast with a very nice Coffee. The others in the group enjoyed their meal! Service was good.

This is hands down the best little cafe in Brisbane . Incredible food and coffee. the owners are lovely . A real gem .
