This place is one of our local favourites and we've enjoyed our visits over the years. It's been over a year since my last visit though and I was glad to find on this impromptu visit that it was just like old times. Menus are now online though, and I found the UI difficult to navigate as it's mostly a big long list.

We had:
* crispy fish fillet rice with braised bean curd & shallot (斑腩豆腐飯), $17.90
* wok-fried flat rice noodles in egg sauce with beef & vege (滑蛋牛肉河粉), $16.90
* Nissin ramen soup noodle with spam & fried eggs (餐肉煎蛋湯出前一丁), $12.90
* horlicks (hot), $4.50

Service is still pretty quick, with our food coming out within 10 minutes. The pricing reflects the sizeable servings, and I regretted ordering the horlicks cos that on top of my rice dish was quite a bit to stomach (and that's despite sharing part of my meal with the boy).

I enjoyed the crispy bits on my fish fillets and the accompanying gravy that coated every mouthful. Wifey's hor fun had good wok aroma and was everything you'd expect from such a dish. Our friend had the ramen which I didn't try but gee it looked and smelled pretty awesome!

Keen to try their $15 lunch specials - the selections change weekly and the price gets you an entree, main, and ice lemon tea.

I'd say the restaurant is rather authentic, which includes the taste of the food, translation on the menu, and service, all pretty close to what you would get in Hong Kong.

For local's reference, the "milk oil pig" on the menu actually means toasted bun with condense milk n butter (as shown in pics), which is pretty nice, please give it a go.

One of the few authentic Hong Kong restaurant you can find in Brisbane, serving up signature favourites of those that are from HK. They open whole day everyday, and you can find specials for breakfast and lunch.

We visited Cha Kee together with a friend from Hong Kong and enjoyed their stir-fries and especially signature HK Asian fusion dishes like Cheese Baked Rice & Spaghetti.

They’ve now also expanded to the shop next door (previously Madtongsan) and opened up Cha Kee Too

OMG. I love this place so much.
Delicious and clean.
The most important things when you visit a restaurant. Even nice price.
One thing they can be changed is their menu, does not have photos so hard to decided which one to order.

My second time. I really liked my shredded pork noodle last time and wanted to try the Chow Kway Teow. Not disappointed and pretty authentic!! Plenty of ingredients as well. Probably on the slightly steeper side price wise, but hard to find an authentic HK cafe, so glad to have find this one! The HK milk tea was very authentic as well. The dishes are not overly flavoured or sweet or salty, i like it that way. The staffs are pretty polite as well, will come back again for something else.

Only other comment, i wish they have a hard copy menu, takes too long to scroll on the phone and i am sure i miss out some dishes!

Always a pleasure eating here. The staff are friendly and the food is fantastic! It's easy to fill time between when you order and when the food arrives by watching the TV on the wall. Old movies, shows, or music videos are there to help create a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Be prepared to wait a little while if you turn up on a busy night, but in saying that I believe the food is well worth the wait.

The hainan chicken laksa is very good. Even better as it's a lunch special. 10/10

I’ve been coming here since they have opened. The service is pretty HK style. I think if you expect more, you should go elsewhere. This is a HK style cafe restaurant. I ordered the dry beef ho fun today for the first time. Whoever cooked it did a mint job. The dish was just moist enough without been overly oily. The amount of brown sauce added was enough so that there wasn’t any excess at the bottom of the plate. The amount of time that it was in the wok was just enough, and not overdone with a burnt smell like it can often be. When it came out onto the table, the aroma was of intense heat and fragrance, the reflection lines of the ho fun glistened from the lighting above, but it was not oily to the mouth. Most memorable ho fun I’ve had in a while. Very good.

I ordered take away and the way they packed the sweet and sour chicken was superior than other resturants i know of (because they separated the sauce and the fried chicken bits to preserve the crispness) however, their dishes are a bit pricey compared to other resturants.

Great laksa! Price is a little higher than other places but you definitely get your moneys worth as the portion size is huge. Would highly recommend the chicken laksa! Service was prompt considering how many customers were there.

Good quality HK cafe style food. Prices are not cheap but the standards are equally high. Credit do have extra cost, but not debit card.

Great traditional Cantonese cha chaan teng food plus some modern Asian fusion dishes. Tables aren't too crammed together, service is friendly and food came out very quickly.

One of the strangest menus I've ever come across, we picked out dishes we safely knew. Every dish was superb, but make sure you order a plate just of vegetables.
