Gorgeous first try of The Codfather tonight!
Recently moved to the area and very happy to have gone in tonight. Service was super friendly on all angles, owner and FOH were so welcoming and the food itself was delicious and plentiful. Great value all round.

I got here regularly. I love the burgers. The staff are friendly and good what they are doing. With a small place to sit if U wanna eat there as well. Parking situation is not great tho

In every way a classic fish n chips joint this family business is great and the young man who takes my order speaks with a powerful voice indeed!
The food is always great and I sense a fun energy in the space.

I've given a lower rating for atmosphere only due to the restaurant facing onto Stafford Road. Perhaps some plants or even some laminate boards bolted onto the support struts to block out the traffic, some amber lights and an old radio and bobs your uncle you've got a top quality hang out with great food!

In anycase I recommend the Cod Father!

Best place to get fish and chips in Brisbane. We always get the crumbed barramundi fillets and have never been disappointed. Great service, good value and quality fish and chips. When we go for fish and chips in Brisbane we ALWAYS go to the CODFATHER. A quality fish and chip take away restaurant that has stood the test of time to constantly deliver the best fish and chips in Brisbane.

Chips are great perfectly cooked nice and crunchy on the out side and soft on the inside.

Definitely recommend. Their parking spaces are in the apartment building NOT on the street.

Nice little fish and chip shop with what you’d expect from a good old fashioned place. Gluten free options (including chips) are a available plus they’ll grill the wide selection of fish for you. Wasn’t busy when we went on Saturday night so we sat outside and ate our dinner at the table and chairs. Parking available out the front. I had a gold old fashion Chiko roll.

If you are a fish and chips lover like us, then this shop is for you. My partner always loved there fish and chips thats why we always come here. There chips are a big for a small size and the fish is cooked nicely. Price is so affordable. Satisfied customer. Highly recommended and definitely will coming back again.

You will not be disappointed! Fresh and tasty, friendly staff, not stingy on the lemon like every other shop. Great calamari, whiting chips. Delicious! Been there a few times and will definitely return.

Always fresh, I've found it to be clean, prices are reasonable, staff always have a laugh with very polite Aussies. Been coming to the cod father for over 25 years, and still the same tasty burgers.

Classic fish and chips with quick service and decent fish and chips for a very fair price. Also their burgers are solid for the price, make sure you ask to add bacon and extra sauce!
Ask for chicken salt and its even better. Also it seems like a local family business which I'm more than happy to support. Thanks everyone at the Cod Father you're amazing and I love your food. All the best to you all :)

I love the Cod Father. Great, old fashioned prices, excellent fresh fish, delicious chips and the potato scallops are always oversized. My husband ordered a steak burger this week and he said it was great. We have ordered take away from here many times and are very happy with the service, quality and price.

The staff are also always polite on the phone and our order is ready, hot and waiting when we arrive. Always ready within 20 minutes for pickup, often earlier. I couldn't be happier and will miss it when we move.

Old school fish and chips, no muss, no fuss, just a good feed at a good price with great service.

Great solid fish and chips, really fresh fish I always get it battered and usually pick sweet lip or snapper. They also do a great pineapple fritter with cinnamon (they pack separately). It’s quality fish and chips cooked fresh to order.
