Gabriel not only brought my 44 year old Ibanez acoustic back to life, he made it like new! His thoroughness and the precision of his work is obvious in the playing of the instrument. He also turned it around very quickly, which was impressive, given it was in need of some serious repair. I can't recommend highly enough! Professional musicians should call Ochoteco before going anywhere else.

When I first saw it from outside, I thought it might be a normal horse with a work space in the garage.

But wow!!!! It was such a pleasure to walk into the shop. So tidy and couldn't find a dusty corner. And Gabriel is such a nice gentlemen who explains everything with your guitar. And he has his own guitar brand which are HAND MADE! You can even custom build for your preference. Of course they come with a premium price tag. Which is well deserve.

I'm a professional musician and guitar teacher with over fifty students a week. I've been using Gabriel's service at Ochotecho Guitars for over 15 years, since back in the days when the workshop was in Fortitude Valley. While it's a long drive out to the current workshop at Salisbury for me, the long drive is worth it for the results I get.

Gabriel's work is always consistently of a high quality. He is meticulous and may even refuse work if he doesn't think the customer's budget will allow for the job to be done properly.

Last year I took a guitar to him that had been botched by another repairer, Gabriel raised the guitar from the dead and it's now one of my main instruments.

Even though there are other repairers who are closer to where I teach guitar, I always recommend that my students take their guitars to Ochoteco for setup and repairs.

Gabriel at Ochoteco Guitars is a master luthier and repairer. When my
Taylor guitar developed some serious cracks and the bridge lifted it was a sad day. But Gabriel did a wonderful job repairing her and make her more playable that she was before. The proof is that I haven't put my Taylor down since she came back from Gabriel's workshop.
