Mitoki Japanese Restaurant Kangaroo Point

Thanks to COVID, we haven't been able to travel to Japan as we used to. As such, we have been hunting around for Japanese cuisine. It was by accident we stumbled upon Mitoki, we had a try-out of their lunch menu, and it was by their homemade sauce our hearts are moved.

We've found our Ginza at Kangaroo Point.

As much as I would love to say more, please allow me to withhold my comments here to let your imagination run free; give it a try, and you will be surprised.

We were here a couple days ago but forgot to share our wonderful experience. Everything here is on point and fresh, worth every single buck and bite! (Sorry for the poor photos as we were too excited with the food in front of us).
Best Japanese restaurant in town!

What a great night. Celebrating my son's 26th Birthday. Staff were great the food was outstanding and the location of the restaurant was fantastic.

Simply the best meal we've had during my 10 days holiday here! We had Udon and curry rice in addition to others. The udon stands out as it's really authentic and have that simple umami taste. Another dish I highly recommend is the Takoyaki. We ordered it twice FYI so trust me on this! There's also the Prawn Tempura Avocado roll (8 pieces) which is so good that my wife called dibs on the last one! Ordering is done using an app on their iPad. Service is fast and friendly. Will definitely come here again if we're back here for holidays.

Excellent service because: (1) my partner and I went for dinner on a Sat evening at around 5:45pm and even though they were fully booked they still found a table for us. (2) they had the patience to answer all the questions we had regarding foods to try, how to combine them, what drinks should complement the food we ordered; (3) the ordering system is so convenient and it's great to have the menu available all the time; (4) serving times were spot on, no long waiting minutes even as the restaurant got busier in the night. Excellent food! Great set-up of the restaurant and such a pleasant ambience altogether. An experience we'll surely remember. :-)

A little hidden restaurant

We had dinner here last night & WOW, what a fantastic hidden gem we have found. The food was sensational with perfect portion sizes, super fresh ingredients & the best Sashimi we’ve had in a while. The staff were absolutely amazing & looked after us extremely well. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you for a wonderful evening. 👌🏻⭐

Second time dining in here
Menu had changed n looks not bad.It’s looks like others top class Japanese restaurants menu setting.
The snapper is at once the handsomest and most palatable of a good variety of sea fish.

We ate here twice in three days, both experiences were very nice. The electronic ordering process takes a little getting used to since only one person at a time can view the menu and order. The waitresses are nice and the food is excellent. Being a person who dislikes seafood usually turns me away from japanese restaurants but this one was exceptional

Awesome contemporary Japanese food. I asked for a suitable sake and my server made a fantastic recommendation. No iPads in my experience, traditional verbal order taking. Quick service, plenty of choice great setting and very pleasant staff. Would go back in a heartbeat.

We went there for the Chirashi bowl and it was amazing. The seafood is fresh and the portion is generous

A beautiful gem of a Japanese izakaya-style restaurant in the heart of Kangaroo Point. The staff were lovely and accommodating and the food impeccable. With plenty to choose from on the menu, quick service, and a lovely ambiance, there is much to admire. We came for our anniversary and just loved the decor and feel of the place. For those who love their Japanese food, this is a must.
