Super fresh prawns 🦐!!! We ordered 2 sets! Oysters were good too. Tried bugs for the very first time! Tasted like lobster… good one. Thanks guys 👍

Our first experience of an all seafood treat. We decided to spend a nice lunch at The Prawnster as its highly rated in Brissy.

It did not disappoint, just thinking about the fresh oysters, tasty prawns, yummy salmon and perfectly cooked lobster just hungers me.

Overall the experience was great, food was really fresh and perfect location. One of our list when we go back to Brissy.

If you’re on the fence about going here- this is your sign to go. My family and I came here for dinner and it was absolutely beautiful. Casual dining with 5 star seafood at a reasonable price. Our server was lovely and the atmosphere is great. I will definitely be visiting again next time I’m in Brisbane and highly recommend to anyone

Awesome Saturday afternoon snack with a couple of glasses of white. Half serve of prawns, full serve of salmon. Perfection! Really nice staff/owners, too. Excellent value for money, I'd even go as far as to say cheaper than the same food anywhere else in Brisbane.

An absolutely sublime experience. Our second visit to The Prawnster, but first time in the wonderful new location.
The seafood couldn't possibly be any fresher or tastier. The atmosphere was gorgeous. Despite it being one of the hottest SE QLD nights I've ever experienced, the breeze was nice and it was a lovely location to enjoy watching the storm roll in. The team were so friendly and helpful - even in that pea soup humidity. We can't wait to come back again.

We had a fabulous time on the Prawnster! The seafood was amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The staff, Jack and Tasman, were not only fun but also provided brilliant service, making everyone feel welcome and well-cared-for. The setting was the cherry on top; perfect for our party of 30. Having the whole boat (The original Prawnster) to ourselves made the event feel exclusive and intimate. Everyone raved about it afterwards. It’s definitely the perfect venue for a party if you book the entire boat. Highly recommended for any special occasion!

Had a great experience here at The Prawnster.
Wasn’t sure what to expect .. it’s just like going down to the trawler as we did when we were young .. prawns oysters bugs salmon and lobster - all beautifully fresh.
Staff were excellent - friendly and engaging. Lobster only cooked 40 mins before our arrival !
Was recommended by the staff at River Cruises -,a great find x

Had another fantastic meal here and were served by Tasman who went out of his way as far a friendliness and service were concerned. It certainly added to the experience in a very good way. Food is always fabulously fresh and sitting as the boat gently bobs on the river with a little light breeze was the perfect end to our Saturday. Love this place and will come back here many times yet.

This is the best, most well priced seafood I’ve had in a long time in Brisbane City (that’s just so rare)! Such an underrated place. Will be coming back again. Salmon sashimi and bay bugs are phenomenal.

Seafood was so fresh and delicious! My family particularly loved the prawns. The guy who served us was super nice and helpful, I forgot to ask for his name, but he had dark hair. We had never been before and forgot to bring our own plates but he managed to find some for us. Just a no frills casual seafood place with a great atmosphere. I would bring fries, and bread if you want to eat sides with your seafood.

I was surprised how hard it was to actually find The Prawnster location. After GPS direction and asking 3 locals, we finally found it.

It was 3pm, still early for crowds so we got the whole Prawnster to ourselves.

Sam took great care of us. Most importantly, all seafood were great! Delectable food, excellent service, unbeatable view, what else could one ask for?

What a fantastic time, a perfect little hidden gem in the Brisbane River, entrance via the botanical garden. If you love seafood, boat and an amazing waiter, book a dinner on the prawnster with Taz as your waiter. Fresh seafood, great service. If this place was better known it would take a year to get a place onboard. The restaurant is on a boat, docked at the peer. It was the anniversary dinner for my wife. Follow Mériem and Jeff and let the prawnster treat you with Giant Tiger Shrimps, Moreton Bay bugs, fresh sashimi.

Spectacularly fresh seafood, no frills, simply served, on a pontoon on the river! What could be better! More prawns than we could eat, Moreton Bay bugs, Tasmanian salmon sashimi (the best in the world) and fat creamy oysters, washed down with a decent Sauvignon Blanc. What’s not to love, especially since Tazz, our waiter (and entertainer) was fun and knowledgeable, right down to the conversation about how oysters reproduce!! If you’re in Brisbane and love seafood, GO!

Beyond divine and excellent. The quality of food that The Prawnster delivers goes above and beyond any other big seafood restaurant. The Prawnster delivers fresh, quality and bang for buck food. The salmon sashimi was wonderful and so were the generous amount of prawns, but the highlight of our lunch were the bugs! We couldn’t believe the amount of meat on these bugs. We loved every. Single. Bit. Of our lunch. We cannot wait to return and genuinely can’t recommend this place enough to our seafood lover friends.

I've waited a long time to dine here, and this place was a real treat. Loved the novelty of dining on a trawler, and the simplicity of a no frills menu. It meant the hero could shine - beautiful seafood that was value for money. Friendly service. Appreciated that we could bring along our own dessert. Highly recommend!

What a great experience! From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were old regulars as the host's welcome was super warm & friendly. He introduced himself, and remembered our names for the rest of the night.

The seafood was beautiful and fresh - we were actually pleasantly surprised with how reasonably priced the platters were; it has to be the best-value seafood in Brisbane. There was so much food on the platter we actually couldn't finish it all!

Will definitely be back. Single guys - this is a great date spot! ;)

A lovely evening spent on the Prawnster Original with friends. Took our own salad and fresh bread rolls. Prawns and oysters were truly delicious and top quality. We enjoyed the new location, despite rum and coke, in fact all spirits, now being off the menu. 5 stars from us as we anticipate our next visit. I wonder if we paid corkage could we bring our own rum?

Fantastic fresh seafood served by friendly staff, enjoyed upon the gently lapping waters of the Brisbane River. Atmospheric, with a relaxed vibe. 🌅

There is even a toilet aboard! Bowls of water with cut limes are provided at table to rinse your fingers. Good range of chilled drinks available.

Very fresh seafood at a fair price. I would have love some sides like salad or chips but the concept was a very enjoyable experience as tourists!

Amazing seafood, so fresh. It is not a posh venue as it is on decommissioned trawlers but that just adds to the experience.
