Romanas Italian Restaurant

We dined in on a Saturday night. We were greeted with a friendly smile by the owner. All the staff were extremely happy, friendly & checked in with us regularly. The food was AMAZING! So fresh & delicious. We ended up having 3 courses! We had bread & 3 dips for starters, cannelloni & bascioli fettuccine for mains & tiramisu & cassata for dessert. Soo good 👍

We made a last minute booking for a large group of 20 teenagers for my daughter’s 13th birthday. The owner called me to confirm our last minute request and was so helpful and accommodating. Pascal looked after us all and his service was amazing. Drinks and garlic bread came out nice and quick followed by delicious traditional pizzas and pasta.
We had a great dinner with amazing service and highly recommend Romanas ☺🍝🍕

We turned up last minute with 5 adults and 6 kids, but they weren't fazed at all. Got the kids meals out quickly and all meals were tasty and fresh. We have grabbed take away many times and have been here on and off for must be 30 years, this place has been in the family a long time. Service is still great and everyone is so friendly. Thank you.

My favourite family restaurant to take the kids. We go here a couple of times a month. We are part of the furniture and are treated like family. It’s delicious and fast, great Sunday family dinner. Bella and staff and fabulous.

Amazing food, really tasty and people super kind!

We went here last night for dinner for a friends birthday & everything was amazing! My friend really wanted to go somewhere that did Veal Scallopini Al Funghi & they did not disappoint. We started off sharing the Pizza Garlic bread, garlic prawns & Calamari . The prawns were the star, everything was delicious. Two of us had the Veal Scallopini & another had Veal Saltimbucca & the 4th person had the Risotta with Seafood. It really was perfect & the staff were amazingly attentive to our needs & helpful. We have found somewhere very special & we will definitely be back again! Sorry we forgot to take photos!

We jumped in here while it was raining hard out, in favour of another iralian restaurant further away.

Lasagna was so good! Prawn dish entre was amazing. My partner liked veal limone.
Cocktails were generous portioned, though not stand out, but still thoroughly enjoyable.

That calamari needs to be taken off the menu it's bringing the whole restaurant down, don't order it. The calamari hasn't had the grisly layer peeled off it, so it was like eating a rubber band and it was deeply crumbed instead of lightly battered. I gave the restaurant five stars because everything else was so good and now I've warned you not to order the calamari. I agree with another reviewer that said it was like it was Frozen and fried.

Heard good things about this place. Wanted to go to dinner at another Italian restaurant however they were closed so we decided to try this place and wow...
There was absolutely no disappointment here, food and service was absolutely spectacular. This will now be the regular hands down. Can't recommend it enough!

The food and cocktails are just so different on the East Coast compared to the West Coast of Australia. I would highly recommend this restaurant the food was absolutely delicious, the cocktails were delicious and plenty of both. The service was so polite and friendly I have not seen customer service like this for a long time. Well done.

Stuck at home off work with a stomach bug - have only had some strawberries in 2 days - ordered a minestrone soup from Romanas which is delicious & exactly what I wanted/needed! Yum! Thank you for my gorgeous freshly cooked bowl of goodness 😊😊

Had a bday and the chefs did the cake up for us- very appreciated. Service by Jack was also great and food was delicious!!

I love this place. You guys are the most hospitable restaurant on the Coast. The food is always sensational and it's just a pleasure to call in.
Don't let the front of shop fool you, it's a little underwhelming but once inside your met with the biggest smile immediately always and the owners are the best. Thank you and please never shut down, no other pizzas match yours.

I am a return customer over many years and they have continued to make fabulous food with great service and reasonable prices. I highly recommend. I love the Tortellini Carbonara. (Entrees size in pic)

Food was absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic they really accommodated us. Hubby had pepper steak, daughter had calamari and I had the gnocchi and just to try we ordered carbonara. Every dish was 10/10

One of the best pizza’s I’ve ever had. I’ve had pizza’s all over the world (Italy, Germany, UK, New York, Chicago) and I can honestly say this was up there with the best. The toppings on the Romanas Lot pizza were divine. Even though we had take away, the food was still piping hot after a 10 minute drive, and was super fresh!

My new favourite Italian restaurant! Garlic bread starter was probably the best I’ve ever tasted I literally could just eat a whole main of that. Carbonara was bomb also, could’ve had more bacon but.. all round was amazing!

Food was fantastic, authentic, fresh and well cooked.
Loved it so much we ate there both nights we were on the Gold Coast, we noticed a number of other repeat clients as well - another very good recommendation!
