Dr Kalhor replaced my shoulder with a total reverse replacement 7 weeks ago . I found him to be a sensitive,
honest and careful man - he did not promise miracles .
I appreciated this.
Pain control has been
adequate .
The scaring is minimal .
The results so far are
excellent and I am sure my
range of movement will
continue to improve with
consistent physio .

Dr Kalhor is a good listener, caring and doesn’t muck around. He knows his stuff and combines this with good bedside manners, a good sense of humour and is a delight to be treated by. Highly recommended.

A very caring doctor and excellent surgeon, could not speak more highly of him. I underwent shoulder surgery late last year and have achieved wonderful results. During my initial consultation Dr Kalhor explained my situation quite clearly and after a subsequent MRI outlined what surgery was necessary to repair multiple issues I had developed.

The surgery at Mater Private went very well with no complications and with Dr Kalhor visiting me the following day to check up on my condition. Since then I have had 3 follow up visits to check on my progress, all dealt with the same level of care and consideration.

On all occasions Dr Kalhor exhibits true and sincere concern for my well-being and has provided valuable advice for other orthopaedic issues I am unfortunately suffering from. I highly recommend Dr Kalhor for his knowledge, skill and for his compassionate nature.

The staff at 4th Floor Clinic at the Mater have also been great and are always helpful with appointments and arrangements.

Dr kalhore is a knowledgeable and excellent surgeon. I underwent shoulder arthroscopy in April and have achieved wonderful results. I started to work 3 month post surgery without any complications. Can’ t thank enough.

My father required immediate surgery with two shoulder reconstructions. Dr Kalhor was nice enough to do surgery on Boxing day which was a godsend to my family as my father was in severe pain. The professionalism and care provided was 5 star. We could not have asked for more. Thank you doctor.

AC SHOULDER SURGERY 19/07/18
Dr. Ali Kalhor first saw me early May re my shoulder. I had been diagnosed by a hospital ED registrar 25/04/18, with a Grade 3 AC joint injury after a vehicular accident where I had landed heavily on my shoulder.
Dr. Kalhor saw me, sent me to obtain X-Rays, had me come back to his consult room and went through options all within an hour. His advice was to allow the shoulder to heal for approx. 11-12 weeks after the accident and revisit his consult room at Greenslopes Hospital.
This time he checked the shoulder and asked me questions, and gave me options; Do nothing surgically and go to a Physio; or surgery and insert a bolt, (this term is mine not his). As my shoulder had a bone sticking up causing a 25mm lump on the top of my shoulder, and the bones were clashing even with movement of my arm restricted to shoulder height at best, NOT Great, so I chose surgery.
I believe Dr Kalhor had already pencilled me in for surgery, so a bit of paperwork and 10 days later had the surgery done 19/07/18
Result; much less painful than I thought, off the pain-killers in 3 days,
and 2 weeks later restricted movement.
No Physio until 6 weeks after the surgery, just some minor exercises.
Just realize that this is something that is going to be at least 6 months, and a lot of work until reasonable dexterity returns,
Verdict;
I would highly recommend Dr. Kalhor for his:-
* Demeanour, very approachable, honesty
* Willingness to spend the time to explain EVERYTHING
* His surgical skills.
* The team of people around him, Ie. receptionist, anaesthetist, and the pre-op staff.

I will update this post in around 6-9 months time to give an end result.

Dr. Kalhor is an excellent surgeon. I just had my knee replacement done at Mater private hospital at Springfield. What an amazing surgeon. So nice and ge spends time with you. All the care in the world. Wonderful.

Dr Kalhor is the most sincere specialist you could ask for. He is honest, realistic and reassuring. Thank you for providing excellent care and most of all, making my pain history!

Have only seen Dr kalhor today for my initial consultation but I already have a good feeling about him and feel confident I’ve made the right decision to see him for issues with my left shoulder, elbows and both knee’s.

Following a bad fall, my 95 year old Mum was looked after by Dr Kalhor. His attention to detail and his excellent knowledge allowed my Mum to recover very quickly.

Dr Kalhor has been treating me for my frozen shoulder I can’t speak highly enough of him he is a very genuine and caring Dr who I would recommend to anyone

Dr Kalhor did a good job repairing my fractured radial head and torn ligament in my elbow, however 2 years later I’m still having complications.
