It's a little bit pricey. The soup base is not that rich-flavoured. Plain pork bone stock.

Fried chicken hasn't been well-seasoned.

However, personally, it has the best ramen noodle!!!

I will be back for that customized noodle.

Ramen was excellent, thoroughly enjoyed the appetisers too. The large mugs of Japanese beer was awesome too!

Easily the most authentic Ramen on the Gold Coast. The Tonkotsu comes exactly as ordered and has a richness of flavour that rivals the best in Fukuoka. Great experience.

Very enjoyable authentic ramen for a reasonable price. The standard tonkotsu broth is very flavourful and I like that you can customise your whole ramen. I like firm noodles (kinda like al dente for pasta), less salty soup (allows you to enjoy the umami more and be able to drink the whole bowl), and standard everything else. The restaurant is often packed but the staff are friendly when available. Really glad to have a native Japanese ramen chain available here!

Very nice Ramen place, if you like a seafood / fish flavour, the gyokai tonkotsu ramen broth is very nice.

Always a pleasure visiting Ramen Danbo, we usually visit more local stores but being on a day trip to the Gold Coast we had to stop by! And we're not disappointed!

Ramen broth is very strong. The noodle is really nice. Simple menu (wish there was more choices though). Overall the food was really nice and reasonably priced. I will recommend this place for those who are looking for a quick quality bite.

Real authentic ramen experience on the Gold Coast. The staff are incredibly friendly and always smiling, lending a helpful hand with cheer.

Ramen is freshly made, hot off the stove, and flavourful as you can hope for. So many choices to match your own preference, from noodles softness to salt content. Their gyōza is fresh and crisply toasted and every bit as flavourful as the ramen.

Really could not recommend this spot highly enough. If you're a ramen fan, treat yourself to Ramen Danbo.

One of the best Tonkotsu Ramen bowls I have had.
The eggs are perfectly made with the gooey centre.
The charshu is thinly sliced and very tender.
Extra noodles are $1.50 and ordering is done via QR code.
The atmosphere is like stepping into another country which is what you want if you're visiting a place like this. The staff are polite and friendly with imperfect English at times which makes the experience all that more authentic.
If you're a ramen lover I would highly recommend putting this little place on your list of places to go.

My favorite japanese joint.. after a long, hard week, i often come here with my girlfriend and my best friend in his R34 Skyline to enjoy a nice, warm bowl of ramen and a beer... and man does it pay off every single time. this place is the absolute BEST for authentic ramen. the atmosphere, service and food is top notch and the beer is fantastic as well. top notch every time 💯

Finally a restaurant that opens till late. The service there is really good, servers were upbeat despite me entering just 30mins before closing. Store closes st 10pm which is quite a unusual scene for me. I arrived earlier than my brother and I ordered an extra bowl, the servers are really attentive, they came to check if the order is correct and also offered to cook it later only when he is arriving. 👍The food is pretty good too. You get to customize the richness, noodle doneness as well as the saltiness of the soup. Overall a fantastic meal that left me warm and satisfied in this cold rainy weather.

I went to this place last week looking for a good ramen and oh man! it wasn’t a disappoint, the restaurant was fine, the staff polite and the food was amazing, the best part it’s that you can costumise your food, so you can decide how spicy is or if you want to add o remove things from the food! I really hate those places where the food it’s so industrial that you can’t change anything! I’m glad to finder this place in my stay in Gold Coast!

Tasty every single time, without fail 🍜 the ramen broth is delicious, one of my absolute faves! Luckily for us it’s just a hop skip and a jump away - so we come here quite regularly. Staff are always friendly. Our usual go to’s are the “Classic Ramen with Nitamago” and the “Tantanmen” You have the ability to chop and change bits and pieces as you please (additions, noodle firmness, salty/spice etc - some additions may incur a small fee) Highly recommend visiting if you love ramen, or if you’re new and looking to love ramen!

This is the best Japanese ramen I have ever eaten in Australia. I don’t think too much description is needed to compliment this Japanese ramen restaurant. As long as you see this empty bowl, you will know what truly delicious ramen is. It is a pity that I can only leave 5 stars here, if I can, I am willing to give them 100 stars.

What a neat find!! This place offers you a quality ramen experience from letting you choose the firmness of your noodles to the richness of the broth! Sometimes when I eat ramen the flavour can get monotonous as it's too rich, but the broth here has a good amount of flavour you can't get sick of.

Have been here twice now and enjoyed both times. I always get miso spicy no matter what ramen place I eat at. Their miso spicy is delicious.
Plenty selection of drinks plus a little ‘serve yourself’ corner, offering cold water, purée garlic and pickled ginger, yum! Small shop but plenty of seating. Very clean. Very friendly staff and always thankful.

My husband and I dined here on a Saturday night and enjoyed a fast service meal. There are not many ramen options in Qld so it’s exciting to have such a great quality option available here on the Gold Coast. Customizing your ramen is the best way to ensure you enjoy your meal whether you’re trying ramen for the first time or a seasoned slurper. If you have visited Hakata Gensuke Ramen Professional in Melbourne it’s a similar concept to that. I enjoyed my ramen topped with roasted sesame seeds for more depth flavour. I was happy to see a vegetarian option on the menu too which is uncommon at most ramen bars. The staff are friendly, energetic and attentive to customers to offer them a fork if needed. I like the small details of having chilled water and condiments available too. Super keen to visit the next opening at Surfers in the near future :)
