Food are so good, the quality is on point. I ordered fried oyster(kaki), beef tataki, tofu agedashi, crab tempura, cold soba, and grilled salmon teriyaki. Every dish are made out of delicacy, I went there for dinner, wasn’t planning on coming back, but at the end I still came back for lunch before I leave Gold Coast. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Definitly recommend.
Also, please be patient as I think it runs with very few people 2-3people as I can see. So, I assume it is a family run business with a high quality control of the food.

We enjoyed a beautiful meal here tonight with our 3 pre/teen children. The quality of the food was amazing - after eating out at quite a few local restaurants on the Gold coast, Daiki restored our faith that it was still possible to get a good, healthy meal as a family without breaking the bank.

We each ordered different dishes. Everything was excellent & delicious - clearly made with high quality ingredients, and lovely attention to detail. For example, we were completely charmed at being offered a selection of pottery cups to choose from for our hot sake.

Service was wonderful, and our food was served very quickly. Thank you so much for a beautiful meal. We feel nourished.

PS We also ended up ordering dessert - we highly recommend the custard pudding (like a creme brulee) and the mango sorbet.

Delicious variety of choices. Tried the fried oysters, teriyaki salmon, vegetables tempura and side of rice, pickles, miso. .. yum

My partner and I tried this little Japanese restaurant for dinner last night. It felt traditional and the food was so delicious. We especially loved the dried grilled fish and the agedashi tofu. The only thing I might say was that the serving sizes were quite small, but maybe I'm just a gal with a big appetite 🤣

Lovely local restaurant. Very cosy and delicious food. One of the best bowls of udon I’ve had in a long time!
They managed to squeeze us in without a reservation and despite letting us know that service may be slow, food still came out quite fast.

Yummy authentic Japanese food, highly recommend the soba!! The staff service were also very good and they have a nice calm atmosphere. A little bit pricy, but will definitely come back 🍣👍😋

Beautiful, homely dishes cooked with love. There are only three people it seemed that runs the whole place, but they did it so quickly, competently and with great customer service.

The food is so delish - the sashimi are nice enough but what is amazing is the duck, the wagyu tataki (special), Japanese chicken curry and chicken kaarage. This place is so under the radar - but I will definitely revisit it next time!

Excellent, authentic food. The Una Don is the best I've had so far. Soft, plump, and juicy. Grilled mackeral with salt is another favourite. Just absolutely delicious! Worth the price, if you ask me!

We haven't tried all the menu here, but we ordered many dishes. All satisfied, cheering for their effort on foods. We've been many different restaurants and had karate chicken, but here is the one of the best place for it for sure. Very juicy and tender is really good. Other deep fried foods also fantastic. Strongly recommend

A small authentic Japanese restaurant that runs by only 3 staff but with great customer service and very efficient. We didn’t have to wait too long for our food to be served. The food is excellent and the staff is very polite. It’s by far the yummiest Udon noodle we had in Gold Coast. Both my kids loves udon noodles so they know their stuff. The beef is very tender, the chicken is moist but you still can get the crispy skin and the tempura is light and crispy. The Agedashi tofu and the sauce goes very well together. We will definitely come back here if we visit Gold Coast again.

Excellent service and food. Good value. Tasty not salty. Had the tenzaru soba, soft shell crab tempura with vegetable which was crispy and delicious, the miso garlic pan fried chicken too was oshi without being too salty and the cold duck was also very tasty, again the sauce was not overpoweringly salty. The special that we had was the grilled salted fish. Again quite nicely cooked with just lemon juice and daikon with soy sauce. Also free refill of hot green tea and a pot on the table! The green tea ice cream was refreshing. Will definitely return to this gem at the northern end of the Gold Coast.

A fantastic place to enjoy genuine Japanese meals. The atmosphere is calm and authentic and the food is consistently delicious, especially the roast potatoes and chicken teriyaki. The staff are always friendly and eager to serve. Daiki is the closest you can get to a restaurant in Japan without getting on a plane.

Have been there a couple of times and it goes without saying that they are the best Japanese restaurant in the QLD region. Flavours are very well balanced and authentic, with filling portions at a really good price. High recommend

Best karaage chicken I’ve ever had, edamame and sushi were A+. Highly recommend and will tell people about this for sure

Authentic and delicious Japanese food in a lovely environment with lovely people! We are still daydreaming about the perfect crunch on the tempura!

This place has a lovely low key, clean and homely vibe, with very good, reasonably priced food and service.

The food was very delicious. But we went there on 28th of December and only one waitress served all tables so we wait so long to be served.

This is so good just like I remember. It’s like being back in Osaka. If your wanting an authentic Japanese experience highly recommend checking this place out 👍
