Varsity Towers

My daughter recently moved to this accommodation from interstate (Victoria) and the transition to this accommodation has been a very pleasant and a positive one for us. The reception and the management has been friendly and accommodating. The view from the "lake view" apartments are absolutely breathtaking. The environment is very calm and relaxing and the accommodation is pretty decent with all the amenities. All in all we are so glad that we found this place for our daughter.

Simon and his staff have been absolutely lovely during my stay at Varsity towers. They are very accommodating and always willing to help. Varsity towers is a well kept building and is nicely located right next to Bond and only a short 10 minute ride from the beach. Couldn't of asked for a better experience!

I have been living here going seven months, and my experience with management has been cordial; the receptionist and admin are prompt in attending to inquiries, and the manager is hands-on. For an old building, I believe they are doing their best to give excellent service. They have cleaners taking care of common areas, and the trash is disposed of regularly. Don't get me wrong, it's not five stars but what counts for me is people making an effort

I'm a student studying at Bond University and wanted to find accommodation around the university. Varsity towers is a very convenient place for people to stay that is family friendly. The manager Simon has been very helpful in accommodating me and other tenants. Overall the quality of the building is great at affordable prices and is managed at maintained really well.

Varsity Towers is a great place to live! Conveniently located 5 minute walk to Bond University, 10 minute drive to Burleigh Heads and 20 minute drive to Southport.

With the current state of the rental market here on the Gold Coast I think it is hard to find better value accommodation, particularly if you are wanting your own place to live. With water and furnishing included in the rent it makes for affordable living. 4-month leases offer great flexibility to tenants as almost every other landlord will require a minimum 12-month term.

While the building is not brand new it is maintained to an adequate standard as I see cleaners working every day. Management have attended every maintenance request I have submitted both promptly and professionally.

Although there is limited parking directly outside the building there is free parking to Bond students which is only a 5 minute walk away. There are also car parks located at the office buildings on Lake Orr drive.

Simon, Pippa and the management team have always been great to deal with throughout my time living here. Managing over 350 residents in the same building would be an exhaustive task and from what I can see they are doing a good job. I think some of the other Google reviews that have been posted are both unfair and unjust towards Simon and the team.

Great place to stay if you are a student looking for affordable accommodation right next to Bond university. Is close to transport and ticks all the boxes. Helpful staff and management are improving the building and there services.

I've had the chance to stay within one of the studio over the past two years. I was truly amazed by how well the manager Simon and his wife manages the property. Exceptional services by once again Simon, who is willing to help me out, anytime when I needed. Truly grateful for how well they take care of the tenants. You would never want to miss out on living in a studio at Varsity towers that is also very affordable at the same time !!

I’ve been living at the towers for since Feb 2020, and I am absolutely so grateful to be living in such a well managed and kind environment! The tower has a management team that actually cares. For example, I never have to worry about pest control, it’s all being managed for you! There are cleaners constantly maintaining the building. And whenever something breaks or goes wrong on your room, the management team are always going to have the solution! I’ve absolutely loved living here for almost the past 2 years and as a student, if I could sum up the feeling in one word, it would simply be that I feel ‘Grateful’ to be living in such a great place!

I have stayed at Varsity Towers for some time now. I used to live in hotel rooms when I worked Overseas so the space was just right for me when I returned to Australia. I have always had a good relationship with the management of the building, any issues I have had for example my air conditioning playing up they were prompt in fixing it which was great at I study at home online. Any issues with other tenants are always sorted out in a professional manner both when Rex was here and now with the new management team led by Simon. For students like me you cannot go wrong staying at Varsity Towers it's central to everything and if you live by yourself it a good size option rather than renting a whole unit and having to rent out the other room to someone you don't know. Prior to moving here, I read lots of mixed reviews about varsity towers but decided to give it a chance. I will say it was one of the best decisions I made. Close to Uni, moderate cost, fantastic and very helpful team.

Ive been living here for months and i love my room im the lake side. So quite and amazing views and the place is convinient located close to Bond Uni, just a few minutes walk. :)

I was a bond university for two years and a half. This apartment was the longest stay until I graduated. The service was great. My vivid memory was I got stuck in a lift, my brand new bicycle was stolen, big flood, and party on weekend. For me, this place really helped me to have my own sanctuary after class. Apartment next to the lake was one thing hooked me up when I inspected the room. It's also just a short walk to university, market and gym. The fire alarm and fire brigade visit was 90% from some ruthless students who ignored the accommodation rules. For me, those things were only few incidents that occurred because of human errors. I loved VT during my stay. The staff were helpful and kind to me.

Great location with friendly, helpful staff. Full bar - open a few nights a week with lots in-house events, mini grocery store for those odds and ends as well as snacks, laundry and postal service. Walk to Bond university. Minutes to Robina Town Centre or Pacific Fair, world famous Gold Coast beaches and attractions.

So far a good place to live and very well situated. Less than a 5 minute walk to Bond University and a short drive to the beach and main shopping centres. The Robina area itself is great as well.

Great place with great service. I recommend 100 plus satisfactory for the entire accommodation. Stayed for more than 6 months and it feels like home for me. You will never be disappointed.

I am a bond student studying psychology, and is very gruelling and difficult. Luckily the accomodation provided by Varsity towers and the manager Simon has been extremely suitable for everything I have needed and it has made all the difference. Thank you varsity towers for making my experience of tertiary education so much better.

Friendly and helpful staff. Have a variety of different rooms to suit your needs at a very affordable price. I stayed in a studio which was three times larger than any other studio I’d seen, complete with a double bed, couch and desk. As well as a kitchen a private bathroom, it’s perfect for students studying at Bond or anywhere else on the coast. Great way to meet some new people and immerse yourself in the Gold Coast lifestyle.

Varsity towers is a good place to live especially if you are looking for somewhere cheap close / close to the uni / fully furnished & all bills included
If you have an issue the staff downstairs are happy to help. they are all kind people & have your best intentions.

Only issue is parking not enough spots but if you get in early or wait around one will become available
over all the place is great & highly recommend

I have lived at Varsity Towers for over 15 months, and absolutely love it.

Lisa, Rex at Reception & Sam the bar manager have been nothing but helpful, they are very friendly & always going out of their way to try and help you no matter what the circumstance.

I am living on the highway side and have no issues with the traffic, after a week of living there, you simply adapt to the enviroment. I find that Varsity Towers is a clean friendly environment - even the other tenants are willing to have a chat in the hall ways and in the elevator - it really is like a little family community.

The parking is sometimes a bit of a hassle, but I have been very fortunate to get a parking pass, allowing me to park underneath & out of the weather.

I would happily recommend this building to any friends or family.

Have lived here ever since day 1 of my degree, and was still living here by the time I graduated 5 years later. My main reason for choosing VT was that it's private single studio accommodation, and you won't find anything similar for the same price. Studios can be small, but lets be honest as a student all you really need is a place to sleep, a kitchen to cook in, and your own bathroom without other people's dirties around the place. Living road side can be noisy, the fire alarms going off can get annoying, and not getting a carpark can be a nuisance sometimes. But you're all warned about this prior to moving in, so it's nothing surprising. Plus a little excitement doesn't hurt. There's plenty of parks down the road or across the bridge at uni if you don't manage to get a park.
If all that doesn't add some spice and excitement to your life, there's also a bar downstairs that do drinks cheaper than outside bars! And also free BBQs sometimes, so don't say that they don't cater to students.
Rental price includes all utilities, and the electricity allowance is just enough. Internet can be a bit pricey, but uni is just across the bridge where as a student you get unlimited wifi. If you want to pay for accommodation at this price anywhere else, you're looking at shared accommodation, so depends if you want privacy or if you want a bigger place living with others. I chose privacy and this place has worked for me for 5 years.
Management is amazing and will happily help with any issues you have. Rex and his team are always responsive and will fix everything quickly. VT may not be for everyone, but you learn to adapt to it, and its a suitable place for students.
