I couldn't be more impressed with the speedy service I've just received from Australian Gear! I needed an Australian hat for a birthday present this weekend and couldn't find any near me. I ordered on Tuesday night hoping I could get an Akubra to me in time. Lo and behold it arrived perfectly first thing this morning! Amazing service, highly recommend and will definitely be ordering again!

Ordered my Riverina from Australiangear.com
and the hat is beautiful, and incredibly was not damaged seeing as how it was shipped in an awfully thin cardboard box. Not even wrapped in plastic. The box was partially wet, which is why I wish they'd wrap it in plastic. You don't even get it in an Akubra box to store it in when you aren't wearing it.

I ordered a simple hat and live in Switzerland,
the order didn't took to long but it was blocked by the custom when it arrived to Switzerland because they didn't include the legal document which need to be include with this kind of shipment this result in extra cost making the hat two time the price.
I had a a month to provide the document so I contacted them to obtain it after a month they were not able to provide it so I asked for a delay to the custom service in Switzerland which they give me, 2 extra month to provide the necessary documents.

Even with those 2 extra months they were not able to provide me the necessary certificate.
we passed the 2 month delay so the custom services charged me with another extra makin the hat now 3 time the price and I will never receive it as the costum service will destroy it.

when I informed the support of Australian Gear about that I didn't even receive any reply.
They probably did their best to provide the certificate in time but in fact, this was a complete waste of my time and my money.
please check this review as a warning. make sure they send the documents needed for custom and Hope your custom will not do a random check on your package if they didn't.

Very disappointed. I researched for weeks to find a hat made in Australia. Incorrectly assumed all goods purchased from Australia gear.com would be made in Australia, but recieved my hat and it was not. Keen on supporting Australian goods!! More transparency required to ensure it is clear and not misleading to your consumers.
