Parramatta Medical Centre

I have been attending this practice for the past two years and have never been disappointed by the support and information I have received. My chosen GP is the most dedicated doctor I have ever consulted and I have told him that I am prepared to wait to see him when he is running late, because the time he devotes to my health problems creates the same delays. The practice offers many other services and my dealings with the nurse who takes blood and provides other pathological services is fast, efficient and very professional. She is the perfect person for the job, as she always displays sincere care and empathy. I must also say that the criticism of the reception staff is something that I have not witnessed.

Me and my partner had our first appointment with Dr Sabine C today and it was awesome. Dr Sabine treats her patient with care and I cannot recommend her more. Wait times were still reasonable (15-20mins).

Dr. Dev Markan is fabulous, Not only is he a highly skilled GP doctor, but his awesome humanity truly sets him apart. His ability to connect on a personal level instantly created a sense of trust and openness.
Throughout the consultation, Dr. Markan demonstrated an incredible level of empathy and understanding. He listened attentively to my concerns, showing genuine care for both my physical and emotional well-being. It was clear that he viewed me as more than just a patient; he saw me as an individual with unique needs and experiences.

Dr Dev has been the best GP we've ever had/seen. He is empathetic, thorough, professional and honest with his work. He does not rush through our appointments so, if necessary, we're willing to wait longer just to see him. We really appreciate Doctors like Dev who take the time to truly care for the health needs of patients.

I have to appreciate the team of receptionists and Dr Renuka (Dr Renuka is always excellent) . My wife had a prescription for different medications and doctor cancelled the previous medicine prescription. My wife had side affects from the new medicine and she urgently wanted the old medicine - only realized this when I was at Chemist at 5 PM. Called in the surgery, they passed the message to Dr Renuka and she called my wife a little later and issued a new prescription - all without an appointment and while Dr Renuka was flat out. I now have to fully recommend the surgery to anyone.

Doctors are good here
Receptionists are absolutely horrific, lack the very basic of human courtesy. They feel they own the place and patients a waste of time.
Went to return a medical device to the nurse, was told that nurse will be informed - nurse walks in twice , they won’t tell her, reminded again , nurse comes again, won’t tell her still, finally had to walk in to the nurse room.
Absolutely pathetic pathetic behaviour.

This is not my normal clinic I go. I went there for tetanus shot coz I got a cut, but I couldn't do it because I have just had my covid vaccine. The Doctor assessed my wound and we decided the risk of get infectious is quite low. After a few hours, I got a call from the doctor. The nurse has checked my record and find out I have had the tetanus shot about a year ago, so I am still protected for this. She called me just to make sure I have a peace of mind. Really appreciated the good doctors and nurses there, thank you for being so professional and responsible for your patients. Really impressed.

Exemplary reception staff who are dealing with difficult and often unrealistic demands by patients. These staff are amazing. This morning I witnessed a customer being very irate with unrealistic expectations about when the doctor must call them (precisely on time). Doctors do not intentionally run late, they are often dealing with unexpected emergencies throughout the day, so can push their calls back. I wonder how this person would have felt if they were the reason that a doctor got behind with their calls. If someone is so very ill that they cannot wait, then perhaps they should be taking them self or their family member off to the local hospital to be triaged. Well done to the staff. I would also like to compliment the pathology lady who took my blood. Their skill was supreme. It is a rare skill to have. Keep up the good work. Margaret

I like Dr. Sabine Chuong. She really checked on me thoroughly. I feel at ease with her. She's polite and friendly. I highly recommend her.

It's convenient booking a doctor online and there is always several on hand. I have had significant health issues in recent years, and Parramatta Medical Centre has helped me a lot.

This is the best run surgery I have ever attended. If I'm unwell after hours, I can make an appt via the health engine which is most comforting knowing I don't have to try my luck in the morning. The receptionists are lovely, there is a practice nurse, a blood collection nurse, a Dr with interest in skin conditions and I believe several visiting psychologists, plus a chemist shop is attached to the surgery and plenty of parking. My chosen Dr is young, most approachable, courteous, a great listener & always steers me in the right direction. I have found the same qualities in every Dr I have seen at the practice.

Made an appointment through the app healthengine to see Dr.Wong. It was my first time here. When I arrived although it was super busy the staff seemed friendly and attentive. The waiting time was about 30-40mins but I don't mind if the doctor is good.

And he was! Dr. Vincent Wong was really really good! He was easy to talk to and seemed really knowledgeable. it was only my first visit but so far he is one of the better doctors I have ever seen. He doesn't rush you out. He listens and understands before diagnosing. He takes notes!! Which is awesome considering some places I have been to don't bother. I am definitely going back and am hoping that this will be my new doctor for a long time!

To those you complaining of long waiting times consider this. I arrived with severe back pain. Dr Reunka ordered immediate blood tests and put me to rest on a couch in an empty room, while waiting for the results. She checked on me regularly between appointments. When the test results didn't come through before Dr Renuka finished for the day, she rang me the next day (her day off) with results and told me to have an ultra sound scan. She saw me the following day before her first booked appointment to give me the referral as she was fully booked that day.
So when you are kept waiting think if you would like this level of service or to be pushed out the door in under 15 mins so the doctor can keep to time and be denied a speedy referral because the doctor is fully booked.

I've been here a couple of times the centre has a reasonable waiting time not too long like other medical centres. The girls at the reception table were etiquette to every patient that walked in. Doctors were very professional and caring towards my needs. Definitely recommended my family and friends to come here as overall the staff are friendly, great service!

My family have been patients here for 3+ yrs, reception staff are always friendly, and the nurses are great. The range of other services on site is also a big plus. Most important though is the Dr's are caring, they give each patient the time they need.

We've been regular patients here for three years and have received consistent high quality care. Wait times are reasonable, even during their busiest seasons. My son and I see Dr Philippa Brown, Dr Bill Truong and Dr Yen Tao and they are all consistently excellent, caring, and will take time to reassure you and answer all your questions.

Great overall experience:
- Conveniently located
- Walk ins allowed. I had the day off and I was able to complete my medical checkup in an hours time without any prior appointment
- Friendly Staff
- Great doctors. Dr. Vincent patiently explained the purpose of the various drugs I was taking in India, and helped with equivalent drugs right in AU

I finally have found a group of doctors that i love & trust. Never had a problem when booking an appt, you never wait long on the weekdays, unless you just walk in, normally only the weekends you'll wait longer when it is walk in only, no appts mornings are generally very busy, normally leave it until the afternoon it's quieter , the weekends have improved with more doctors, unlike other practices where i've had to wait up to 3 hours or more & encounter rude doctors, the doctors & staff are very professional, understanding, compasionate, never had a problem, i would reccommend them. Best practice i've been to in parramatta & not changing. i've been to a fair few.

I have been to this centre a number of times with and without an appointment. Appointments have mostly been on time or close to and walk in times are very reasonable compared to other centres i've been to. The doctors i have seen are very caring and take their time to explain and the reception staff are always very helpful and friendly. They also have a pathology centre on site and pharmacy so everything is all in the one place which is very convenient. Definately recommend this place

Reception staff were very welcoming and attentive. Seen a few Dr.'s here and they are all very helpful. Consult did not feel rushed. Also really convenient that there is a Pharmacy right next door.
