Loftus Lane Cafe Cocktail Bar

We walked past this cute cafe on a quiet Sunday morning and decided to pop in because we thought it looked interesting. We ordered coffees, the strawberry pancakes, the corn fritters, and some yoghurt and fruit for my toddler. The food was absolutely delicious! We were so glad we decided to stop. The interior was really cute (although I’m not a fan of so many mirrors everywhere), and the service was quick. We saw them setting up for a high tea and it looked delicious! Will definitely come back, this was a really cool find.

We had my wife's Mothers Day high tea here. It was lovely.

Note that it's about five minutes walk from Circular Quay (Ferries, trains, light rail and buses).

Place was beautifully decorated and the service was top notch. Enjoyed the smoked salmon brioche slider from the high tea menu. The least favourite was the scones which was quite dry and hard.
Love their cocktails and would definitely return again for drinks and also to try their breakfast menu.
I am also surprise that this place does not charge a weekend surcharge unlike some other cafes.

Amazing cappuccino and almond croissant. Staff is super friendly and the interior is also super nice. Also cool for some foodies and instagrammers. Or you can just enjoy the coffee and brunch outside with fresh air. Price is super good considering the location 🙂

What an aesthetically pleasing cozy cafe in the CBD! If pinks and florals are your thing then this is the place for you! They do an amazing HIGH TEA and they also do incredibly appealing vivid cocktails to make your day! Food is extremely beautifully presented. It gets quite busy on the weekends, great for celebrations and milestone events too if you want a memorable dining experience!

Fun and quirky vibes! We had a booking for an early breakfast - luckily missed the peak rush so service was great. Our meals came out consistently and were beautifully presented on vintage plates (so fun!). We all enjoyed our meals - fresh, flavour some and very generous portions. Will highly recommend and will definitely be back again to try other items on the menu. Great way to start the morning!

Great service and really great sized portions for a high tea. Beautiful cocktails and amazing selection of teas. Privately hired this venue for two hours for my friends bridal shower and the staff were very accomodating to our vision and dietary requirements. Highly recommend!

This is an amazing place!! I ordered King prawn Pasta… the prawn taste was so good. So fresh and sweet. I would recommend for this place. The service was great as well, especially the waiter was so polite and gave me a very warm welcome. Love it!!

What a lovely place to be at for great coffee and food. We loved the avocado toast with poached eggs which was delicious and wholesome. Their coffees are well made and beautifully decorated.

Had two meals here traveling from area via cruise line.
Staff is very cordial and inviting. The food was very good and presentation was equally good.
The French Toast is gigantic and presented wonderfully.

Also close proximity to the Warf and activities near the harbor.

Loftus is one of the best cafes you will find in circular quay. We had discovered this place through breakfast promotion on Groupon which includes bacon and egg burger or avocado roll, both includes coffee of your choice for $5 (normally $8). The bacon and egg roll is big & delicious and their coffees are very good. Their service is super quick especially takeaways/dine-ins and staff are friendly. The interiors of this cafe is oasis style with lots of green tones from plants to plates, tropical wallpapers/tiles and marble tables. Loftus isn’t just a cafe but it’s also bar with a nice showcase of alcohol bottles on the wall. LLC has become a local favourite for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. They are located in a decent area on bridge street and with their transparent windows and brightly lit interiors it’s very hard to miss their catchy interiors.

Review 2023:
It’s been a few since I visited Loftus when they use to offer Groupon deals. Loftus has transformed and made better offering high tea, nicer food & drinks. One minor note: the menu online doesn’t match the menu in the restaurant (there’s more options in house).

Super cute cafe that's very close to Circular Quay and the station. The vibes of the cafe are on point, down to the decorations and even the menu. We tried the corn fritters and the chicken waffle which was great, chicken was juicy and filling. The chips are some of the best thick-cut I've ever had, super crispy and fresh and perfectly salted! I've also come here for the high tea which is average but filling and good for cute photos.

Gorgeous place with excellent service. High Tea was lovely. Be warned that the Ferris wheel option might block conversation across the table. But very pretty.

Beautifully decorated place, I went to have high tea with friends and we all loved it. Food was okay, but what really got us hooked was the whole vibe. It’d be awesome if they could let you stay for more than two hours without charging extra, specially if booking a private event, maybe just a minimum spend rule instead.

Awesome service Sue was our waitress. We were starved visiting Sydney and this was such an amazing time. Great value for the price.

We had the best lunch, I had the pancakes and friend had the prawn pasta and it was delicious - large portions that can easily be shared. We also had a cocktail which was super cute and fun!
