Absolutely fascinating to speak to and learn from Jason - a true coffee magician I'd say. Really enjoyed being able to try different beans, too.

Jason is a coffee connoisseur and a passionate perfectionist about all things coffee related. Jason and his team are a wealth of knowledge producing amazing products. From the actual machines and grinders right down to coffee beans, syrups, chai, tea blends and hot choc blends, you won’t be disappointed, if your not sure exactly what your after just ask, Jason will take the time to find out what you like and come up with the best product to suit your needs.

My partner Ellie and I are up from Sydney visiting Ballina and decided to pop into Tenango to check out the coffee.

Jason’s knowledge of coffee roasting is second to none and his passion for what he does his extraordinary. I am by no means a coffee expert so was happy to listen and learn. Jason is extremely helpful and willing to pass on his knowledge of coffee.

If you are in Ballina and are after some great specialty coffee and other coffee gadgets I highly recommend popping into Jason’s shop. Cool guy, great coffee and a very very unique shop!

Dropped in on the off chance this would be acceptable, and was completely blown away. Jason was very welcoming informative and clearly knew his stuff. Having roasted semi professionally for several years now it was exciting to see Jason’s experience and excitement for high end speciality coffee. In our quick visit we tasted the cleanest cold press, a beautifully funky rum aged single espresso and a full bodied well balanced and extracted flat white. With his food and molecular science background he is doing some fascinating experimental processes and you can taste that in the cup. Will be connecting with him again!

I have grown and processed my own coffee as a hobby for around 30 years. Being quite particular about the quality of coffee, I give Tenango 5 plus an additional 5 stars. Given the selection of beans and the precision of the roast, the crema this coffee produces is exceptional and consequently the coffee tastes incredible. The special Christmas Pud blend was next level. I fully recommend!!

I dropped in today and chatted with Jason and was immensely impressed by the precision and attention to detail in his roasting and equipment. Jason is clearly a passionate expert and I am so glad I visited. I can’t wait to get home and pull some shots from the coffee I purchased.

Wow. I ducked in on my way through to the airport late last year and stayed talking to Jason so long I had to rush to make my flight. Jason is an incredibly knowledgeable guy doing some very innovative things (I wasn't expecting barrel aged cold brew!) I'm happy to recommend Jason and Tenango to anyone keen on espresso (or cold brew!)

In a world of subpar coffee, Jason shines as an exceptional example of what top notch coffee should be. Came just needing a road trip coffee on the way through, left having had some of the best coffee we’ve had in ages and a new connection. Jason’s passion and excellence in the industry was obvious as soon as we walked in. Cannot recommend stopping in with these guys highly enough. Absolutely legendary.

Jason gave me perfect advice in setting up my new Breville coffee maker. I have never made espresso before so his advice meant I was able to get an excellent brew fairly quickly. The decaf is amazing. It's delicious...and I'm a novice so I can only imagine what it will taste like when I have more experience. Thank you so much Jason. Much appreciated.

What an incredible experience!
After 60 minutes of learning various techniques, trialling unique products and generally having a very knowledgeable chat, I didn't want to leave.
Jason is a master at his craft! Anyone who steps foot in his store is bound to have a brilliant experience as Jason can understand what his customer needs and endeavours to send them home happy.

Wow Espresso Tenango do know their stuff. I called in to get my first packet of beans and walked out with soo much information. From the minute you walk in the door Jason makes you feel comfortable and provides tips and tricks without you feeling rushed. The coffee is amazing and I can't wait to try his speciality cold brews. I also walked out with the most amazing calming tea as well. Highly recommend

Originally visited with the intention of just getting some local roasted beans but ended up having a great chat to Jason and Dylan about coffee and cars! Got a few tips and had a delicious whisky infused coffee which is up there with my all time favourite coffee's. Will certainly be back.

Tenango is my goto. Smooth and delicious. Always consistent and the best part is going into the shop for a coffee and a chat with Jason.
He carries all the best from takeaway mugs to a variety of coffee makers and machines. My partner also loves his huge variety of teas and drinking chocolate.

The Xmas pudding blend is the most unique tasting delicious coffee I’ve ever had whiskey barrel aged with Burundi Honey!!!
