Alstonville Showgrounds

This is my 4th stay here, so friendly. Plenty of room for families and plenty of activities to do in the district.
The Federal Pub and cafes are well appointed.
The beaches are only a 20 minute drive away and bush walks everywhere.

Caretaker was very helpful and friendly, encouraging us to see the local sites. Amenities were clean and all in working order, including a laundry area. Massive community kitchen & covered seating area.
Mowed grounds were suitable and flat for large caravans. Able to put out awning and privacy screen.
Kids loved the big grassed fields and exploring the trees.
Grounds were suitable to walk your dog as there was plenty of space behind the show ground.
Power and water sites, good water pressure.
Close (within walking distance) to local stores, food and grocery stores. Great town.
Will be returning.

Very reasonably priced at $25 per night. Well located, just a few minutes walk into town. Well maintained. Clean amenities. $4 laundry wash, which is great. John and Annie are wonderful caretakers. We lost our roof top air con cover in a gale. They found us a spot under cover in a shed for a few nights to get emergency repairs done. Well worth staying and Alstonville is such a great little friendly town. 5 stars. 🌟

I had never even heard of this town and decided to check the showgrounds out.

Wow.
They didn't disappoint.
First the town itself is so nice, a real gem. All within a short 200 m stroll from the showgrounds.
Secondly the showgrounds were great. Clean, green, plenty of character. All the amenities you need and a dump point.
The hosts were really nice too, I couldn't praise them high enough.

Do yourself a favour and stay here as an alternative to the masses on the coast. You won't be disappointed.

For a showgrounds stop over, wow!
The bathrooms were super clean and tidy. The grass was lush and the breeze was amazing. Great price for a powered site with water! Dog friendly too.
Great location to the main street. The reception lady was really lovely and friendly. We will definitely stay here again when traveling south.

Our first time staying in showgrounds and we were quite impressed. Good size sites, plenty of room for our kiddies to play. Great facilities and all well maintained. The staff were lovely and helpful. $25 per night for a powered site, we stayed 2 nights and felt very safe. The town is a nice little town.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. Lovely lush green grass, loads of space, and very quiet and peaceful. And the caretakers, John & Anne, are wonderful - very friendly and helpful and welcoming! And it's just minutes walk to the great little main street! Loved it.

Lovely spot, 2 lots of mens and ladies toilets and showers, laundry, grounds well kept, amenities kept very clean. A credit to those looking after the showgrounds and to the town.

We only stayed one night at this fabulous campground, the amenities were spotless, laundry facilities available and a awesome camp kitchen if needed. Will definitely be back, thanks for having us.

Just letting everyone know that on Wednesday 17th January.

Anne & Myself will be finishing up as Caretakers.

We have enjoyed our time here, & would like to thank The Agricultural Society for the chance to look after this great showground.

Also thank you to all the wonderful campers, who have passed through the gates.
Some lifelong friends were made.

Time for our next adventure.

Caretakers and their family were welcoming. Clean and generous facilities. Stayed 3 nights instead of 1. Perfect base to visit Ballina area.

Great and convenient for us to stay with our 5th wheeler on our annual migration north for the winter. Plenty of room and will be there every year in the future.

Great spot to camp , easy walk to town and short drive to Ballina . Only $25 per night

Love it, have stayed here many times. Super clean amenities, laundry tub with hot water supply as well as very good washing machines and dryers. Current caretakers are Gail and Greg, very friendly people.
This is an old review, no idea why it has come up as recent, the current caretakers are John and Annette.
They have now moved on, and new caretakers will take up the position soon.

LOVELY CARETAKERS, VERY WELL MAINTAINED AREAS, CLOSE WALK TO GREAT CAFES AND OP SHOPS, LOVELY TOWN

Well set out RV parking, even when there were a lot of vehicles parked we didn't feel cramped. Caretakers were super friendly and helpful.

What beautifully kept Showgrounds. Close to town, shops, and pub. Nice little town.

Nice clean amenities. Caretakers very friendly. Will be back.
