This is why we regularly frequent Unica Cucina. It's a welcoming and comfortable environment, with calming and informal décor.
The food is rich, tasteful, delicious and filling. The product quality is consistently outstanding, always exceeding my expectations every time. This night was an anniversary dinner with my wife. The customer service from the owner and her staff are second to none. Your welcomed on arrival and then all the waiting staff check in everytime they walk past your table.
They ensure your glass is never empty and are happy to offer advice on food selections. (And take your picture if you ask).
A truely enjoyable experience on every level. If your looking for authentic southern style italian food, this place is worth going. A great reminder of traditional home style food just like nonna use to make. Well done, we will keep coming back. Love it.

Unica is an authentic Sicilian family run café - restaurant that serves up classic Italian meals that will have you returning again and again. Their speciality is the Unica marinara with pasta. In addition to the marinara, we ordered gnocchi with lamb ragu and gnocchi with ricotta. There is something for every lover of Italian home style cooking.

Really nice place, the problem is the carpark but everything was delicious!

Came here with my partner tonight for dinner and it was absolutely amazing. From the vibes to the service. The food was 10/10 and the coffee was the best I’ve ever had! Coming back again for sure. Thanks guys!

Both of our dishes were fantastic… John Dory fish and lamb gnocchi. The fish had a delicate sauce with kalamatas that complemented it perfectly. The lamb was tender and perfectly seasoned. We were one of the last tables for the evening and we felt welcomed and never rushed… the staff was helpful, and engaging. Wish we were locals so we could dine here again, but we will stop on our way out of town to grab something from the dessert case!

In my opinion Unica Cucina E Caffe, is truely a unique (as the name suggests) authentic Calabrian, culturally rich and oh so cosy restaurant. Their signature dish, the marinara is nothing short of an absolute true representation of what a Marinara should look and taste like.. made with the freshest seafood, it will leave you asking for some ‘Pane di casa’ just to soak up the left over lobster bisque it’s cooked in. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The owner Michelle is a seriously delightful and charismatic host and, should be commended for bringing a very real and delicious, Italian cuisine experience. Highly recommended. Have been back and will go back. 👌🏾👏🏾

Delicious food. One of us had the marinara, it was generous with the amount of seafood. The other meal was beef with ravioli. Wonderful. Service was excellent.

The staff were very accommodating even though we had 4 children (well behaved but kids will do the occasional wander) and very attentive.

The chef who works here knows how to cook and is passionate about cooking. He made the perfect seafood and best Mussels with marinara sauce. It is one of the best Italian restaurants in Australia.

Best authentic Italian cuisine on the Mornington Peninsula. Great selection of entrees, mains and desserts. Good wine list, very reasonably priced and a good cocktail selection.
Seafood pasta is outstanding, crispy calamari divine, the filet steak cook to perfection.
Don’t walk, run to this gem.

Food was absolutely delicious! The ingredients all high quality, the marinara is massive and packed with great fresh seafood. Our female waitress was friendly and great with our young baby, which really added to our experience.
