Experience with my cataract surgery could NOT have been better. Fantastic result, no discomfort at all, and Dr. Sharwood was wonderful: supportive and totally helpful. Altogether great.

After having a two lazy eyes for pretty much my entire life and being told by optometrists that it was too late in life to have my eyes surgically corrected, I decided to take the plunge and look into squint surgery. I was referred to Dr Sharwood, and I was extremely anxious and nervous. I had thought about surgery for so many years but was so scared it would make my eyes worse, be painful or not work at all.
Dr Sharwood was patient, kind, reassuring, knowledgeable and warm. She answered my many many questions, and explained exactly how the surgery works. Her team were incredibly thorough conducting many tests (non invasive) on my eyes, so I knew that my consultation was very in depth, researched and considered.
Dr Sharwood reassured me, gave me excellent statistics on the many surgeries she had performed and made me feel comfortable and supported as I was so nervous and hesitant. The day of the surgery Dr Sharwood patiently answered all my same questions again, reassured me and calmed my nerves.
I knew I was in good hands.
The recovery was minimal pain and my eye turn was fixed immediately!! ♥
I cannot recommend Dr Sharwood enough - she has single handedly changed my life in terms of improving my confidence and fixing my turned eyes.
If you are hesitant about this surgery, don’t be! I can’t believe I waited so long to get my eye turn fixed, Dr Sharwood is an incredible surgeon and I feel very lucky to have been her patient!
