Best Japanese around midland eaten I love it - the owner is friendly and always around to assist with and requests. They even offer a western or Japanese style to each dish explaining the difference if you don't like to venture to far out of comfort. All the dishes I have gotten have been great and the atmosphere is relaxed 😌

The best Japanese food in Midland. Excellent quality food and lovely staff. I use to come here with my parents, now I bring my family. Ambience is welcoming. Perfect for a date night or a family dinner. You will leave full and happy. Money well spent.

Wonderful hosts, dealt very well with our table of 14, most food came out very quick especially the kids meals which was a blessing! Delicious during and gyoza, giant crumb prawn and the Bento boxes were delicious. Food was a hit all around the table. Lovely atmosphere, the aircon was a bit chilly but other than that no faults.

I love coming here for dinner or lunch. The food every time I visit is exceptional. The staff are lovely and attentive. If you haven't been yet, make sure you do. I love the spider roll - this is my favourite dish. The tofu is delectable. The slow cooked pork belly is also to die for. There isn't a dish I have had that I haven't loved! There's a great range of drinks too, including a great variety of sake.

Went as a family for adult birthday. Adult having said birthday is extremely fussy with food. Like clean and tasty food with variation of textures. This restaurant was perfect. We had to ask for soy sauce which we found unusual at a Japanese restaurant. We normally find Japanese restaurants have condiments readily available.
It didn't matter though they gave us what we needed.

A very lovely dining experience!

When an order my boyfriend took hadn't arrived, we asked the man serving us, it was rectified very quickly, and as his dish was served, it was given with apologies from him and the kitchen team!

And also, when an accident on the table behind me happened, it was dealt with promptly and the man serving our table was apologising profusely, even saying that it's okay I don't have to stand up; for context a large glass jug fell off the table behind us, and chance would have it, some water splashed on my back and a few chunks of glass landed under my seat.

I hadn't been to this restaurant before, but I was very excited to try a new place, and by the very positive day I had, I would definitely recommend this place! Lovely presentation on all the food; I only have a photo of my first dish as I was too engrossed with the rest of my meal to take other photos!

The staff was friendly & professional. The food was authentic Japanese and my meal was delicious. My dad enjoyed the agedashi tofu bento and I liked the curry chicken katsu bowl. I would come back again!

Amazing food, big menu including drinks. Restaurant fills up fast for dinner so please make sure you book if you can. Definitely a new favourite. The eel was amazing and i usually hate eel.

An awesome place to eat. It was very busy which is a good sign. Food was delicious, service was great and reasonably priced. I'll be back for sure.

Bento boxes are decent value and great tasting. Food is served pretty quickly too.

Perfectly content with everything. Service was excellent, food was delicious and they explained any questions about the food and types of Sake. Bathrooms were very clean. Ishikiya Japanese Restaurant would not be out of place on a main street in the city or Mt Lawley. Have been numerous times, will be returning. Had the Mixed Sashimi yum. How good is Miso and Japanese alcohol!

Had a fantastic time here, my partner had the chicken curry bowl, while I had the unagi(eel) bowl, both were absolutely delicious! We started with baby octopus skewers which were delightful and then had a plate of sushi, soon after our mains arrived.

The staff was wonderfully polite and welcoming, was a lovely lunch time experience.

The flavours, presentation and freshness of the menu was sublime. A great ambiance alongside very welcoming service from the staff and owner on top means I will definitely be back!

This Is the best Japanese food for miles around. It is so reasonably priced and service is fantastic and so polite. We came in late, no problem! I cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant. the food is made freshly for each order, you can feel it is authentic and made with a great deal of respect...

What a fantastic little place. The Chicken Katsu was so juicy and fresh, crisp vegetables and perfectly cooked short grain rice. The little yellow pickles were a great touch as well. Really enjoyed our first time and will certainty come back.

Our favourite Japanese ever! The owner and staff are absolutely lovely! Delicious, fresh, generous dishes and multiple fantastic vegan and gluten free options. Lovely space and great for lunch or dinner. We go here every chance we get!
