The Sebel Canberra Civic

I recently stayed at this hotel and wanted to express my appreciation for the friendly staff at the front desk. They were exceptionally kind and even treated our dog with great friendliness. However, the lack of parking spaces posed a bit of an inconvenience for us, especially with children and a dog in tow. Having to park far away made the journey quite a bit longer. Despite this, the overall experience was positive, thanks to the welcoming and accommodating staff.

Really lovely, modern and tidy room. Was able to accommodate our family of 5 well. Great kitchenette with everything you need. Bed were comfortable. Great location, walking distance to shopping centre and restaurants.
The only negative is no car park onsite.

The hotel was great. Was better than I had expected. Room was spacious, clean and having the kitchenette was a bonus. Incredibly comfy bed too. Location was perfect, right in the heart of the CBD. Staff were so lovely and caring.

We have a lovely stay. The Sebel is in a well positioned location in the heart of Canberra. A short stroll has you right at the theatre, the main shopping districts and it is close to a large range of food and dining options. The rooms were spotless and the staff friendly.

Wow! It felt like a 5 star hotel to me! I booked 3 rooms. The family room was great, it was able to accommodate our needs!

Only hustle is the parking, my gps couldn't locate the little hidden lane behind the main entrance.

Two nights, perfectly located. Service was great, option to automatically suspend room makeup when it's not necessary, saving everyone time and money. Needed a late checkout and got it without any hassles. Rooms are modern, well maintained with kitchen facilities too. Will definitely stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, nothing was too much trouble. Although parking was a bit distant due to the hotel's location, everyone was satisfied with the overall experience.

I got a STUNNING corner suite on the 9th floor that was the pinnacle of luxury. Nespresso coffee and a really, surprisingly, delightfully well stocked gym really enhanced my experience, plus the bar and coffee shop next door we're both beautifully styled and great stop off points before/after a hectic few days in Canberra for work.

Friendly staff, nice size rooms, handy location to city and transport. Disappointing TV, small thing, but annoying there was no cast option or access to the HDMI for BYOD firestick, google etc. Please allow access to HDMI in the set menu then the room would be a 5 as well.

Great welcoming staff. Fast check in and out. Nice thought with the bottle of wine from our anniversary. Quiet and very comfy bedding.

Every service I could wish for, given that Canberra is all but a ghost town at the time of my visit. Was bemused to be handed a bottle of wine at reception, but the gift wasn't unwelcome.

We stayed here for 2 days and loved it ,everything was A1 from property to staff.Also best location you can have in Canberra ,will definitely book the same for our next visit .

I spend two weeks in Canberra enjoying the amenities and location of the Sebel Civic, close to the ANU and to the mall, and plenty of restaurants nearby.

I previously considered staying here as an alternative to my normal place to stay, and I wasn't disappointed.
Rooms are spacious, and the kitchenette was an added bonus for early morning starts and the ability to cook a quick meal, including the Nespresso machine.
Also, close proximity to Civic Centre shops and places to eat made my short trip to Canberra more enjoyable.
Definitely my new home away from home.

I have stayed here several times, it is centraly located close to restaurants & shops. Staff are very helpful & great value for money.

As someone who has no car, I'm very glad they put electric scooter for hire to travel around Canberra. You have to ask the staff for the rate. Overall, me and my partner loved our stay!

Room was tidy and cosy, amenities we're provided, it's really close to everywhere so, location is definitely ideal if you want to go around the lake, museum, etc.

Lovely experience, there for work, and, it had everything required.
Downstairs restaurant is privately owned and not related to the hotel (its great though for dinner or breakfast), so keep this in mind if you're an Accor Member.
However the room pricing is great and makes up for it.

Great location, was able to fit me in last minute when my booked hotel cancelled on me. Rooms felt and smelt freshly renovated. Accor member, so free bottle of wine when checking in was a nice surprise.

I stayed here for 3 nights for a family trip.

Like everyone else, we were struggling with parking but finally managed to park nearby.
Liam, one of the male reception staff tried to help us find best spots with considerate advice.

When we first arrived, there was a bit of issues in the room so I reported.
Liam( same reception male staff) immediately came to sort out the problems and apologised very politely.
Of course, he hasn't done anything wrong. Room condition wasn't his duty.
His service was so inspirational.
I really appreciate your quality service.

We also had another good memory here with housekeeping staff that my son left some thank you notes written in our room and when we got back after tour, there was a sweet reply 'thank you' note from housekeeping staff.

My son was very happy to get the reply.
If it's considered to be a small thing by some people but we all have good memories in our childhood.
No doubt exchanging sweet messages with hotel staff can be a beautiful memory to my children.
