Breakwater fish and chips

A really nice fish and chips shop, literally, our fish pieces were Devine (Blue Grenadine fish) we got chips and gravy, so much gravy and it was hot and yummy. The staff were happy and friendly, service was quick and efficient for a chip shop that was busy. Here on Christmas Eve looking for fish and chips today, a good call by the family. I almost forgot to take a picture of the food, so please forgive the half eaten fish and chips with gravy, they were hot, yummy and cooked perfectly Merry Christmas Breakwater fish and chips staff. Located straight across the road from the park and boat marina with plenty of space to sit and take in the views with yummy food.

Visited Port MacDonnell on Monday and found this fantastic fish and chips shop directly across the road from the ocean.
It was really busy and absolutely full of customers.
I was informed before placing my order that there would be a 25 minute wait for my food, which was no problem.
Seating both inside and outside.
And extensive menu of individual items aswell as family packs and other value pack selections. All at great prices.

Staff were all friendly.

We ordered 2 serves of the flake and chips @ $12.50 each and deep fried pineapple with cinnamon sugar. All was delicious.
Cooked fresh and served hot.
Chips were crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the middle and the fish was beautiful.

Glorious views of the ocean.

Definitely will visit again and try their deep fried Mars bar!
Highly recommend to anyone wanting a great serve of fish and chips.

Had two pieces of good sized flake and chips for two with small gravy for $23, lovely🙂

The serving of of chips were awesome, just like it should be and the small gravy was wonderful🙂

There were so many chips we had them for leftovers dinner😂

If you want decent old school fish and chips, I highly recommend this place👍

Great prices and alot cheaper than the blue fish n chip shop up the road. Its fish was as fresh as could be. Chips were chunky and perfect 5 out of 5. Best fish n chips in S.A

The food is always amazing at the Breakwater fish and chips, also cheaper than the others but the quality is still better.
They always make me the best veggie burgers, friends have had the burger with the lot which is massive and filling

Awesome fish and chips at a highly affordable price. I always get the Barramundi because they're huge pieces and nearly a meal in themselves. Russell & Deb clearly take pride in their food as the oil is always clean and the product is always perfectly cooked. Love their potato cakes as well, which are not heavily battered and they are always crunchy. Definitely recommend this fish shop when you're in Port MacDonnell.

So good! This is the best fish and chips we've had in ages. The batter was delicious and light, chips cooked perfect and all was cooked in clean/fresh oil (this makes a HUGE difference!)

Fish n chips here last week ... THE BEST i have had in years . Hot , crispy, wrapped with precision and expertise to keep in the heat. A step back in time treat . Thank goodness I don't live close by .. the weight gain !

Lovely people and the best value fish and chips I’ve seen since travelling the last few weeks! Prices are what they should be for affordable dining out!

The flake was cooked to perfection, tried the lamb yiros and prawn burger, they’re seriously good. Prices were a pleasant surprise. Will be back!
