Strappers Cafe

Have visited this cafe twice and I have tried the scrambled eggs with toast and salmon, cappuccino and pulled pork burger with fries. Coffee was absolutely beautiful! You won’t regret to get a mug 😎 The toast was tasty and crispy, burger wasn’t not my cup of tea and fried was delicious with good seasoning.

Nice coffee in a good location. Will try the breakfast some time after reading good reviews! Indoor and outdoor seating. No toilets. Good service, prompt and friendly.

First time we have tried this cafe but plan to be back. Seems very popular and I’m not surprised. Parking is easy, service is excellent, food is tasty and reasonably priced - and the coffee is excellent!
It was a little cold inside but otherwise no complaints:)

Highly recommend! The people are lovely and the food is fantastic. Went for brunch with the family and had some amazing food. So much flavour! Not only did it taste good and put a smile on your face, but it looked amazing as well. One of the best places to go for a bite to eat or a freshly squeezed juice to drink! 5 stars!!

Reasonably busy, so book for a table if meeting friends and family. Great atmosphere and food. Had a great family breakfast with a small area and toys for the kids. Definitely recommended.

I've been to this cafe a few times now and have not been disappointed. They're coffee is hot and tasty and they're dishes beautifully presented and delicious. I'll definitely be back!

Always a good breakfast at Strappers - huge portions, tasty ingredients, fresh orange juice, and they usually bring out a bowl of water for the dog too. Perfect brekkie cafe!

Breakfast wrap with scrambled eggs and bacon was generous and full of flavour. Steak sandwich and burger with chips were both tasty and fresh, each order was individually prepared to our choice. Reminding us of the lovely fish + chips places of childhood, where there was attention to detail, and food was not boringly homogenised. Service was prompt, friendly and professional. Very relaxed/casual setting and location. Dog friendly setting outside.

Fantastic cafe, lovely staff who go above and beyond, great scrambled eggs and coffee. 100% will return!

Perfect lunchtime cafe. Steak sandwich was awesome, hot chips delicious. Hot dogs looked good too. Nice atmosphere linked to local horse racing all with a view over an upgraded playground and park. We'll be back.

I like it. Really friendly, very well priced food within a horse themed cafe (surprising from the name?). Not a boutique trendy cafe but heaps of locals which says a lot about the staff food and location.

Good sumptuous breakfast with good coffee

My friend and I had lunch here with a four year old in tow. Great toy bench setup kept him occupied nicely. We enjoyed great coffee, service, food and a real conversation. The chips were the best I have had in ages and the house made pies have loads of delicious filling in a tall pastry case. Easy to eat and very filling. My favourite is the steak and mushroom, my friend loved her chicken and leek. I have been for breakfast twice and afternoon tea and have never been disappointed. Looking forward to my next visit. I first started to notice Strappers cafe when more and more of my friends started going there to eat. On Facebook they post enticing pictures of the food they serve so I had to give it a try.

Strappers is less than 15 minutes drive from the city and parking is ample. We parked right out front of the cafe. The cafe is unpretentious with wooden floors, booths and a large dessert fridge that draws you in.

The staff are really friendly and you feel like a local as soon as you walk in. No request was unreasonable. I was there with my parents and wife so we asked for extra plates to share food and to not include onion in our meals which was was easily accommodated.

The food is reasonably priced and the serves are large. My parents are fussy eaters but loved everything. Breakfast is served all day and the scrambled eggs were good. Fish and chips was larger than I expected and the batter was not heavy at all. My hamburger was seriously one of the tastiest I’ve had. The patty was delicious from the first bite. The chicken quesadilla was great with home made guacamole and house sauce drizzled over the top.

Just because the dessert fridge was the first thing we saw as we entered I had to try the desserts and I wasn’t disappointed. The lemon cheesecake and apricot slice was so good. However the snickers cheesecake was perfect. Rich and sweet without being overbearing.

We also met Chad the chef who bought out our food. He was really friendly and was passionate about the food he created. Hint: a winter menu with lots of soup is coming out soon.

Prices are decent and didn’t set us back considering how much we ate. Also, I could see people coming in constantly for coffee so it must be good! I can’t recommend Strappers enough.
