Fantastic visit with Steve. Initially, concerned whether or not the nursery was open as the signs are faded and old. And, to be honest - as nurseries go, it is very down at heel. But what a place - don't let first impressions scare you off. Steve and his property are a true relic of a more idealistic and kinder time. Give yourself at least a couple of hours if Steve is up to give you a tour. His property is genuinely an ark - if things go pearshaped the trees and plants will form an ark of valuable and rare plants with which we might get started again. Both Steve and his wife are not in the best of health - so go quickly before it's lost to everyone.

Had a wonderful guided tour by Steve in his amazing sanctuary! So much knowledge to impart and so many amazing garden fragrances encountered. Some may view it as 'ugly' but I consider it extraordinary😃
