Lovely dining experience - good menu. I only tried the chardonnay but rated it quite highly as did my friends. A good selection of food we tried the squid, lamb, pasta, tiger prawns, ravioli, cured salmon and chat potatoes just to mention a few of the dishes. Everybody said they enjoyed their dishes. Staff were polite and car parking plentiful. Lovely gardens for those that enjoy a stroll. We attended on a sunny day and the view is terrific. Will be back.

Amazing place with great food and beautiful views of the water and farmland.
The staff were so lovely and going for a walk around the gardens after lunch was just a peaceful experience.
The wines they make are small batch and high quality and absolutely worth every cent.
We had the duck and the beef for lunch - both amazing meals, and I am sure everything on the menu would be fantastic!

We love eating here! Fancy food but chilled environment. Child friendly and pretty. Great to sit, chill with a glass of something and enjoy the atmosphere and views! Must book in advance! Defo check it out!

In my opinion, you will not find a better place to wine and dine on the Bellarine. Our recent experience at basils was beyond outstanding, every aspect from the food to the service to the ambience and stunning location and outlook.
While other establishments that have other wise been in our top five have dropped the ball, Basils continues to be at the top of their game.
It was my birthday, and someone mentioned that to one of the waiters, and they brought out a special happy birthday chocolate plaque with our desserts, it was so thoughtful!!
And this is why you need to book weeks in advance - we will be back!!

We had a fantastic afternoon at Basil's Farm. Such a picturesque relaxing setting and a garden table was perfect on a beautiful weather day. Also really great outdoors if you have kids. They have a sandpit with toys to keep the little ones entertained. Tip..when booking ask for a table next to it so you can keep an eye on the kids while eating.
All our food was super tasty and delicious. Our group tried the mussels (amazing), satay chicken, squid and pork belly as well as multiple desserts...we could not fault a thing. Service was first class.

We absolutely loved our visit to Basils Farm. The food and wine was excellent and they have such a beautiful location. The staff were wonderful and very friendly. We also had a 14 month old with us and they were fully equipped to cater for the little ones. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. I’d highly recommend this spot on the Bellarine Peninsula!

What a beautiful place for lunch with fantastic friends.
The service was perfect. Our waitress was friendly & knowledgeable.
We had a tasting plate to share, yes we couldn’t fit it all in!! My only “complaint” (more a suggestion really), is that the salmon fritter was a bit dry, felt like it needed a sauce.
Our friend had the Sri Lankan Curry - she’s Sri Lankan & was immediately transported back there. Her partner had the beef ribs, he was very impressed.
The wander through the veggie & herb gardens was a wonderful end to our meal.
The view was just what we needed.
So relaxing.
Highly recommended.

A perfect spot for lunch with family or friends that kids will also enjoy. The food is well priced and of an excellent standard. The wines are their own and while I only tried the Chardonnay I can highly recommend it. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and drinks. Seating options allow for both indoor and outdoor depending on your preference and no matter where you're seated there are beautiful scenic views of the farm and the bay with Queenscliff in the distance. If farm animals interest you then be sure to say hello to the alpacas in the paddock. Basil's farm was a great day out and we'll definitely come again next time we're in the Bellarine.

Beautiful food (a bit on the pricey side but worth it) and wine with million dollar views, over Swan Bay. Go for a stroll through the garden and around the acreage. Will be going back if iam ever down that way. Its a pity you cant buy the wine online or id be getting some delivered, the shiraz was awesome

This is a lovely restaurant/cafe with stunning views over Swan Bay. Booked for the inside cafe and was lucky to get a spot in their new pavilion overlooking the farm. Staff are super friendly and attentive, they ensured we had an enjoyable experience. The food is very tasty. Had the duck and pork belly, both were cooked perfectly. Duck super tender and moist, paired wonderfully with the Thai influenced salad. The pork was tasty too. Also had the Eton mess which was delicious - hints of lemon and rhubarb and very fresh (not too sweet). Overall highly recommend this place for the tasty food and amazing landscape.

Firstly the service is friendly and efficient. The staff are from everywhere in the world and someone has and is clearly guiding them.

Secondly the atmosphere and vibe is relaxing and serene and the views are fabulous. The garden is tranquil and dog friendly. They have a substantial area inside as well and offer functions catering too.

Thirdly, ours was one of the best meals we’ve enjoyed in a long time. The cured salmon was delicate and accurately balanced and displayed with the horseradish. The pork belly was again expertly prepared with a crispy crackling and not drenched in fat. And very tasty. The deserts were similarly delicious. The Creme Catalan was creamy and framed by a ginger biscuit of the exact intensity to marry with the creme.

You would pay double the price for meals of half the quality in a city for this absolutely brilliant meal. The theme for this small and wonderfully country style menu is a creative take on classics (I got a Spanish vibe…?) with ingredients sourced locally, prepared masterfully and lovingly offered. Seasonal businesses struggle to match output to vast changes in demand. Basil’s Farm rises to the challenge. Reading some of the reviews it’s clear that some people are entirely ignorant of this! Oh! And they sell the wine made on site too! The Pinot is one of the best on the Bellarine and ranks quite respectably high on Halliday.

Hats off to Head Chef Rob and the management. You are kicking goals!

It was a privilege to have our wedding here. Everyone at Basils Farm helped us plan and organise our wedding with 5 weeks notice. Talla – the café manager and Anthony – the chef, Paige, Greg and Alex were absolute gems to work with. Nothing was ever too difficult or tedious for them. From the beginning to the end – it was smooth and seamless – it was the most calm and stress-free process.

We made the best decision to allow the team to set up the décor for the wedding day. It was stunning, breathtaking and it brought me to tears to see it all put together. It really did exceed everything I could’ve imagined or envisioned. Seriously, they are all so talented and have the keenest eye for this.

The wedding day process was just so easy. Alex did a magnificent job at co-ordinating, improvising and keeping everything under control. The food was mouth-watering and flavourful! The kitchen and wait staff did a brilliant job on the food and drinks as well as the timing. We received so many compliments on how exquisite the food was and how attentive the staff were. All the guests left with a full belly and extremely satisfied tastebuds.

There are not any words to describe the beauty of this scenery at Basils Farm. It will take your breath away. A few family members described the view as a serene beach of Vietnam.

Thank you to everyone at Basils Farm for having and helping us celebrate our perfect day!

We just can’t help but boast about this beautiful farm in Swan Bay!

We will definitely be back!

We had the perfect table on the veranda to watch over the garden to the sea and then to watch the storm roll in late in the afternoon. Lovely wine (we had basil farm Chardonnay & Pinot noir) and outstanding food. Kids had ham & cheese croissants, healthy grazing platter and fresh berry smoothies. We had the antipasto platter, chilli con carne & pork belly. The kids had a ball running wild playing hide and seek after lunch while we relaxed over a cheese platter. Others picnicked on blankets on the grass. A private party was set up in another part of the garden and everyone was delighted.
