A beautiful, accessible and experiential place. Suitable for visiting as a couple during a trip or for an activity day for the whole family. Everyone will find their pleasure in the place. Whether you are looking for an activity for children, a walking trip in nature combined with a historical site or just going up to be impressed by the place and the view (there are elevators that save climbing the mountain). The view from the castle is rare. From the upper castle there is a 360-degree view of the entire valley of the river Loch of the surrounding ridges up to zogshpize. The staff at the place are helpful and kind and will recommend the Nechten mix and the recommended activity for each visitor. The visit to the hanging bridge is also unique and fun. Highly recommended

Awesome place to visit if you're into midevil places. It was started in 1296 and was added on over 300 years. The hike up was steep but short. If you're in shape, you can do it in 30 minutes. We hiked with 3 kids, youngest being 10, and made it in 45 minutes. They have a mountain lift you can ride up and down if you don't want to hike. There are 3 castles at the top of the mountains. 2 on one mountain and one on another that you can take the sky bridge to. The sky bridge is the longest in the world and was inducted into the genius world book of record in 2014. If heights are not your thing, you can walk down and back up the other mountain. Plan at minimum 2 hours to be there but 3 to 4 is more enjoyable. A lot of history in one place. Check prices on the website to see how you would like to go about it. They have a gift shop as well.

This is an amazing thing to see and do! Love the linear elevator 👍 we came in January so it was quite cold but the view was spectacular! I think the snow made it more beautiful.
It was €5 to park, €7 each way (up and down) to ride the linear elevator and I think it was €8 to go on the suspension bridge. We didn't go on the suspension bridge. You can skip the linear elevator ride and walk up to the castle for free if you choose. We enjoyed every second of our time here.

It has beautiful lights with a superb light show that you can visit until 26 feb.
We bought tickets in advance but it wasn't a long line at the ticket counter.
The highline 179 is included in the ticket but is not for the faint of heart.
The funicular lift was a bit expensive( 7€) for the short ride.

Free of charge. You can take a short hike up the hill (15 minutes) or drive up with expensive gondola. The ruins are nice to explore. The views are great. There is also a small open museum near the ruins (free of charge!). It's very interesting. The place is nicely being taken care of. I truly do recommend paying a visit if you are near.

We were driving and saw the bridge over our heads. Decided to stop and see. It was cool. We were able to cross the Highline179. It was a bit scary, cos it is 114 meters high and 402 m.long. But it was awesome 🤩
Bridge - 8€ (to go there and back)
Liner(elevator to the bridge and ruins) - 7€ (to go there and back)

Amazing view from above. Easy 30 min hike from entrance. Entrance is free. If you want to, you can pay 8 euro to access the bridge and lift.

Absolutely a wonderful spot to stop and enjoy some history and good views. Playground right at the base, also one at the top of the hike or ride up.

We visited in a rain storm but it added to the mystique. Don't miss the Highline 179 bridge. It was 8euro per person to cross over and back. Payment is accepted at the machine before heading up the trail to the castle. Another machine is located at the top before entering the bridge if you wanted to take a look before deciding. The rest of the trails are free. There are educational signs along the way. There are signs catering to children so I could see this as a great adventure for kids. There is a quaint restaurant near the visitor's center that you must check out. Even if just for coffee and dessert.

This was such an amazing short but steep hike. The vistas were gorgeous and well worth any effort to ascend. The information distributed throughout the ruins was informative without being overbearing or losing the audience. I would also definitely recommend walking the suspension bridge. Such good fun!

History, action, stunning views and playtime all in this one wonderful site. We took the tram to Ehrenberg castle ruins. Kids loved exploring it and the view was spectacular. Nice playground there too. Then suspension bridge, and another tram to top to area with some ruins and amazing views. 👏 A great day for our family.

Really beautiful like fairytale❤ you can take cable car or you can walk up in the hill to Castel. You need about 20 mins to walk if you take cable car price 7 Euro if you wanna across highline 1790 combo ticker 14 Euro about castle you don’t need to pay for entrance. You should go up to Castel and across the bridge. You will see wonderful view Castel and mountains background.

This was so cool! When we went there were no fees to explore the castle ruins but it was the best thing because we had free reign to walk around anywhere and see the old walls. They even had informational boards through the old walls explaining the building, it was also in English so that was a great help!

My only wish is that I had more time, we spent a little longer on the suspension bridge which was great i just could have used more time at both. Definitely stop here, do the hike and see some amazing views and read some cool old history!

Didn’t actually go to the Ehrenberg castle. We hiked up to the fort above the castle and saw the Ehrenberg from the top and on our way down. The views were impressive and the hike up to the fort was well worth it! I highly recommend both!

Really beautiful ruins to visit! You can walk almost everywhere in the ruins of this castle and it really gives the most beautiful midieval vibes. We spend around 1-2 hours there and we saw everything of the castle. The walk towards the castle is pretty steep, and mountain shoes are nice to have but not needed. Over all a really great experience and worth visiting for sure!

(Parking the car is €4,- , the cable car is €8,- pp. and the bridge €8,- pp.)
