Silvia and Mario is truly phenomenal. I got my first custom jacket from them in 2019 and absolutely loved the quality and care to detail.

I loved the jacket so much that, while I was visiting Montevideo last October, I made a trip to Buenos Aires mostly so I could get another custom jacket from Silvia and Mario. That first jacket was that good.

The second jacket was even better, and Silvia and her staff were incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and committed to making a jacket that I loved. Also Silvia’s cat is adorable 🐱

Absolutely loved shopping here. The handmade leather and fur jackets are beautifully made and all unique. The ladies in the shop were knowledgeable and attentive and helped me find the perfect pieces for my self and for a gift. Getting to meet Silvia while we were shopping and hearing about the history and making process was a special treat. I had a hard time stopping myself at buying just three things. There was so much more I could have taken home with me!

Silvia y Mario is the best leather clothing shop in Buenos Aires. Silvia is an absolute gem of a woman and must be protected at all costs. Her products are top notch thanks to her 50+ years of experience and knowledge, and she even provided us with tea as we shopped - a delightful touch on a cold day in Buenos Aires.

Her team is also fantastic and deserves tons of credit. Diego is a class act who welcomed us warmly and shared many recommendations to try in the city. And most of all, Sofia provided the best shopping experience one could ask for. We simply told her that we were looking for classic, staple pieces and shared a bit about our wardrobe, and she provided us with incredible pieces that were exactly what we hoped for. Each jacket was better than the next and we purchased 2! Sofia also gave us a tour of the production facility upstairs and taught us of the 4 different styles of leather jackets they create.

This team was so kind that they invited me to model a jacket for their instagram as well. A dream of a shopping experience with the best quality jackets we saw throughout our entire trip in Argentina. If you want the best possible leather jacket - this is the spot hands down!

They were fantastic! Extremely hospitable, their associates spoke English, which put me at ease immediately. Silvia herself greeted me, offered homemade cake that she made and coffee while I shopped. Her associate had me try on several different styles and fits to get the right one for me.

She also showed me the different types of animal leathers that she works with. Silvia cuts them all herself, I believe she said for 45 years. Really a fantastic experience. I chose her shop as it was open on a Saturday and the other one suggested by my travel agency was not open on weekends. Anyway, I can’t say enough about that experience. I would strongly encourage anyone wanting leather jackets, gloves, and sweaters to look at her website and visit her shop. An overall outstanding experience!

Genuine leather from Goat, Lamb and Cow. The staff are very friendly and provide the complete information of the product which includes where it comes from, why it is of such pattern etc. They take good care of customers. They value their customers and don't scam like others. They offered additional discounts for buying more than US$100. Definitely will buy again and recommend it to my friends who visit Buenos Aires. Designs were modern and stylish.

Just bought my wife a beautiful jacket yesterday. We went in on Monday and the jacket was ready Thurs. She wanted a few modifications to the one on the rack which was not a problem. And of course the jacket fit perfectly when delivered on time. Great store. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful little shop. They speak English and when I entered, they took me to their design studio where they explain all types of leather and how the feel.

I felt feeling educated and more knowledgeable about what I wanted when looking at the selection.

They also don’t charge extra for custom made. It’s all part of their charm. You pick the design, type of leather, and they’ll work 3-4 days to get your item made.

Lastly, it was very little pressure to buy. I loved that. Made you really feel like you’re in control of what you want there and not sold to buy something you don’t love. Highly recommend!

Excellent service and very high quality leather jackets at good prices. Super happy with my purchase. Can definitely recommend if you want something that lasts you a long time! The entire service personnel are lovely and take their time giving you the right advice and to show you around their old leather workshop. Huge plus for them offering alterations to whatever garment you choose. I didn’t have the need for alterations on the jacket I bought, but from what I was told alterations did not come at any additional cost. Service and delivering the absolute best leather goods really takes the front seat at this store.
