Very good food, the German sandwich was of fresh and high quality Leberwurst, good hot chocolate and good service. We enjoyed the atmosphere as it’s not too loud, very nice.

Came for brunch about 12:00. The queue moved quickly. I was surprised for a Sunday. So very lucky.
I had the Blend las Violetas tea, Capuccino, Coco Chanel sandwich, and Alto Chocolate cake. I wanted to try many things, and I enjoyed it all.
This is a stunning building and the staff are friendly.
I recommend adding this to your list when visiting BA.

This cafe is an institution. It's a must visit because the decor is awesome and the food is exquisite too. They are know for their afternoon tea so if you go around 5pm you can order the famous Mixed plate (Sweet and Savoury). Thank you for great memories.

Classic high ceilinged ornate interior with tall pillars and stained and pseudo stained glass windows. Good quality service and not expensive, except for the cakes/bakery foods.

Wow. What a trip back in time for this restaurant open since 1884. Like a time machine. Food, service and obviously the environment take you to another time. I had the Merlo Verdero. Menu looks like it has not changed in centuries. Hopefully this place can try to stay the same.

Amazing historical place... if you show up in the afternoon you will have to wait in line just to walk into the place. So early after lunch or in the morning are better times of the day to stop by. Lunch is good, but sweets with tea or coffee are amazing.

Great place to have a bite to eat. The service is very prompt and it's beautiful inside. Open since 1884!

Excelente lugar, vale siempre la pena volver, te podés llevar lo que no consumis y te tratan excelentemente. Beautiful place to visit. You must try Maria Callas pastry, and it's a selection of desserts and sandwiches to try on. Emblematic for its architecture and history. If you travel to Buenos Aires you cannot miss it

It’s an amazing restaurant. One of the traditional restaurant. The ambience is very pleasant with huge glass paintings in the windows. Generally it’s quite tough to get a seat as soon as you arrive because of its demand. The food is tasty and filling. The quantity is really good for a person while the cost is reasonable. The waiters were professional and the service was quick. We ordered for desayunos - Americano which consists of 2 medialunas, coffee, omlet with ham and cheese, fruit salad and toast with cream cheese spread and jam.

An iconic and historic place which offers from a cup of excellent coffee to the famous hot chocolate with churros. You can also visit the bakery inside the same gorgeous building. You can buy from the French baguette to elaborated cakes. This also a perfect spot to drink a five o'clock tea with sandwiches, pastries and the best of European pastries. Take into account that if you can't eat everything you can take the remaining food to your hotel room or home. Prices, thanks to the positive condition of change for foreign currencies such euros, pounds or dollars, are EXCELLENT!

This is one of the best cafes in Buenos Aires (and I've been to a lot since I live here now), not only for its beautiful interior, but they have one hell of a bakery!

Iconic Buenos Aires cafe, with an English tea house flair. Pricey but worth a visit. Order the sandwich tower platter.

In 2017, the citizens of Buenos Aires voted Café Las Violetas as the most remarkable café in the city. It was opened in 1884. Although located in the Almagro neighborhood, a little off the city center, this elegant café deserves a visit for its Italian marble interior, stained glass decor, sumptuous chandeliers, French furniture, and exquisite delicacies.

Here in Café Las Violetas there is so much splendor everywhere, since the Café is located within a Palacio, one of this elegant old palaces. There are elegant mosaics on many windows, fancy decoration on the pillars, and of course I want to point out the delicious coffee, cookies, and desserts. I had a delicious Cappuccino and some yummy cookies with Dulce de Leche inside…this famous cream large parts of South America is known for. This place is not located in the center but still in the so called inner parts of the city and by subway easy to reach. The waiters are very nice and the ambience is overwhelming when you are into atmospheric elegance from the old days. So the Café Las Violetas has it all.

From Buenos Aires with Love!
