This is a great place to eat. There are professional waiters, like my waiter Aldo. Very knowledgeable, quick and very pleasant gentleman to talk to. The food was delicious, I enjoyed Fernet and Coke for the first time. I hated at first but as I sipped little by little became delicious and refreshing. Give it a taste. Meat was cooked perfectly and dessert was beyond good. See pictures.

This restaurant was amazing. I started off with the hearts of palm salad, which was delicious. The fried squid was to die for with just the right amount of Panko on it. Then I enjoyed one of the best ribeye steaks I’ve ever had. It was seriously delicious. And if you are not from Buenos Aires, you have to absolutely do the pizza, it’s like nothing in the United States. Minehead Sriracha sauce on it, and hearts of palm. But it was yummy! Staff was awesome. Highly recommend!

El Establo is an absolute recommendation if you are in Buenos Aires and in love with some good meat!
The vibe in the restaurant is really nice, the service is good, and usually it is also really full.
I can recommend especially the Ojo de Bife, as well as the Caprese Salad (the basil was sensational), and the Panqueque con dulce de leche for desert. Also the grilled cheese (Provoleta) is spectacular.

Known as one of the best Ojos de Bife in Argentina, this restaurant at microcentro will bring you all that a good, fair price meal can offer you.

The Bief de Lomo (fillet steak) small one (I think 350g although this was really big) along with patatas frites provencal (French fries/steak chips with garlic and herbs - not too much garlic) was a meal you can just manage didn't need anything else.
4 people in our party and all agreed this was enough.

So we had 4 of these steaks & fries with 2 bottles of good Malbec wine and 4 bottles of still water and bread baskets, all costing 121000 ARS, £102 GBP. (30000 ARS, £25 each)..

The steak was absolutely excellent, I can't say enough how good it was. The service was really good couldn't want any more. Wish this place was close to home.

We went about 19:30 before it got busy. If you go along the afternoon of your planned evening meal they will reserve a table for you. Be aware English is not spoken well but good enough to order and get an excellent experience.

Muchas gracias al chef y a los camareros.

A must visit... we went twice while in BA.

Don’t waste your time going to any fancier Argentine steak houses. Come to the real deal where it’s just good meat! The befe de lomo is to die for!

Went there for a business dinner. Good place, garçon looked pretty exhausted but he did his best to answer any questions, to accommodate any request, great guy (second floor). Food was amazing. Meat was delicious, soft, tasty. Loved everything about our dinner. I do recommend a visit (choose the second floor)

Best “asado” in the area! I’ve come several times and the quality of the meat products is always outstanding. In the picture you can see the “entraña” cut, which is my favourite. So juice! The staff is always friendly and the location is great. Unfortunately it is closed on Sundays :(

This is the place. Waste not your time or money at any other parrilla. Sit at the small bar (next to where Sebas cooks), ask for the pimiento and the provoleta plus whatever cut you like. Add wine.

Food was great. Wine was great too. I ordered the short ribs from their wood coal barbecue menu. It was excellent. Make sure you also try it with chimichurri if you like it garlic-y.

Ojo de Bife is goooooooood! So crisp outside, juicy inside! Asado is normal. But all is good. Someone recommend Entraña to me! I like it. Wanna visit here other day. *service de mesa 100 pesos per person.

Wow, they have always been very nice to me. The food is excellent. A friend sent his steak back and it was replaced with a perfect one.

Maybe I have some bias. Been going here more than 30 years (that's right no typo) and haven't been in BA for almost 12 years. Totally shocked how the downtown has changed but the El Establo has not. Here again maybe I'm the wrong guy, but going here brings me back to glorious memories of the area and restaurants of that legendary era They've forgotten none of it. You'll still find linens on the table; veteran waiters; and somehow a distinct (OMG delicious) savor of most anything that comes off the grill. So I'm going to move with the masses out to Palermo on this visit; but for sure will be back to the Buenos Aires legend

Great food, left stuffed! Service was better than most places we've been in BA, atmosphere is ok, cute/quiet. Great value!

El Establo Is the first place we eat on arrival to Buenos Aires. AND El Establo Is the last place we eat before leaving back to the United States. This says what we think of El Establo.

We enjoyed at late lunch at 5pm yesterday, 7 November, 2023. We shared the larger Ojo De Bife jugoso (beef tenderloin medium rare), mixed salad, and French fries-all to share.

Wine, the whole menu is extensive and well priced (not expensive at current Blue rate US to Argentina peso).

FYI
blue= rare
Jugoso=medium rare
Al punto= medium to medium well

At El Establo the beef is premium quality. The waiters have been there for decades. This combined with their age speaks well for their employer and for El Establo as a place to be a waiter. Waiter is their profession.

They are attentive and friendly but don't expect chatty gushy waiter like at a U. S. chain.

It had been over 10 years and pre-pandemic since last visit.

El Establo Is as good as always, steadfast in quality and service.

They are glad to split portions and to wrap if you'd like to enjoy a reminder from El Establo later.

Hasta la próxima

Old-fashioned, rusty restaurant, strange comliment (packed grissini-like straws, buns and butter ). But meals were delecious! Perfect rib eye, definedely recommend
