Beautiful atmosphere and wonderful food. Many different local and international options. I recommend giving it a try.

What a wonderful place! Historic restaurant with beautifully decoration, traditional menu, puchero, callos, the best! Ad the service!! The service is just perfect. Truly a must if you are in Buenos Aires.

Great service, with extras other than bread that you wouldn't normally expect to be given. Be aware though, portion sizes are large ... but that seems to be the normal here in Buenos Aires

Amazing steak & wine at an incredible price. Great service. 1$ for bottle water, 1$/person for olives, a lovely bread selection & a red champagne.

It's one of the best and traditional restaurants in Buenos Aires. It was founded by Spanish immigrants in 1896, who made our nation, and you can feeling it when you are inside of this beautiful bar. A great decoration and a lot of options if you want to drink some cocktails. I will back pretty soon!

Excellent pasta! And dessert!

Beautiful place with amazing vibe and really good food. Enjoyed the pork chops which were cooked to perfection and some creama catalana for dessert. Amazing attention to service and parking next to the restaurant!!

Classy place and great service. Steak was seasoned nicely. Great garlic mashed potatoes and creamed pumpkin. Loved the flan. Was disappointed that the didn't prepare the eggplant properly.

Beautiful, historic place located in the downtown area, prices are according to the quality, good service. Big servings (1 milanesa is enough for 2 people).

Very nice decor and service. The food is tasty and very delicious. We tried many restaurants in town based on reviews but this time we passed by El Tropezon by chance and we loved the experience.

An elegant eatery originally opened in 1896 and reopened and renovated in 2017. Spanish author Federico García Lorca once dined at El Tropezón and tango performer Carlos Gardel had a regular table (no. 48). The walls of the restaurant are decorated with images from Buenos Aires' golden age.

The food is fresh and palate-pleasing, and the service is welcoming and gracious. By Buenos Aires standards, the restaurant might be a little pricey for some. Nevertheless, for a visitor, the classic fare and beautifully appointed dining room are well worth a few extra pesos.
