Puerto Cristal

Four of us had a delightful lunch in Puerto Cristal's "sunroom" with its beautiful viewl overlooking the Puerto Madero Channel with the Puente de Mujer in the distance.
We started with a proveleta, which we all agreed was as good as any we've had in Argentina, and a very nice veal carpaccio with parmesan an arugula.
Two of us had the ribeye (ojo de bife) that they said was better than the one they had at La Brigata the night before. In fact, here they perform the same cutting-it-with-a-spoon shtick that La Brigata is known for.
I had the sole, and my wife had the haddock. Both were delicious. The haddock came in balsamic vinegar sauce, extra virgin olive oil, capers, green greens, and mushrooms with squid ink rice, vegetable block and provoleta. The sole in cream of leeks, shrimp and mushrooms with four-cheese cauliflower pudding.
We paired all this with an inexpensive bottle of Mendoza sparkling wine. Service was elegant, but slow... no matter since we had more time to enjoy the lovely views. Recommended!

Best meal we had in Buenos Aires. The steak was high quality, thickly cut, juicy, and cooked perfectly. The hunger inducing aroma gets you first then the yummy taste follows. Local fish entree was pretty good. Service is great like how it used to be unlike the untrained wait staff that’s so prevalent current days. Restaurant itself is very spacious and upscaled decor. Outside seating is river front. Gorgeous views at night with all the lights lit up.

4.5 stars food, perfect 5 for service, atmosphere and views. They specialize in seafood and so we went 2 of 3 dishes seafood. I’ve noticed in Buenos Aires, I need to add salt to almost all dishes but I actually prefer this — “salt to taste”. Good portions and fresh seafood!

Went with tour group and it was very busy. Food was elegant, delicious, and I would definitely return when it's not so busy. Grade A

Compared to Don Julio: better steak, better service, better ambience, better value and zero wait.

This is the best non-dry age steak I’ve had in Buenos Aires.

The service is a bit overboard (I prefer to be just left alone with my dish).

This is a great first class fine dining, a place to celebrate a special occasion, with a date without requiring reservations. Just walk in and dine.

And yes it is expensive $80 USD

Great food, superb service. I've never been told not to pour my own wine before. We did the set menu with wine and coffee and everything was amazing. I dont double restaurants when traveling, but this is a repeat dinner experience.

Wow what a great place, I arrived a few minutes after the mid-day specials had ended, but they still honored the great price of 360 pesos for the 3 courses. The ham and chicken salad tasted as good as it looked. I choose the salmon main dish which came out so fresh that I could smell how good it was going to taste. I finished with the apple cake and ice cream. Some other features I admired were the English menu, the harbor view, and the great service. It's worth dining here.

Great place to eat. The set menu is very accesible and if you are in the mood of something more elegant and memorable the menu options are next level. High cuisine. Beautiful view and place. Just perfect. A Shelter from the sun to have a Nice lunch. Or a romantic unforgetable dinner.

Food was delicious but service was perfect. Very well taken care of.

Now this is a good restaurant. Quickly seated in a nice setting. The wait staff were friendly and responsive but never intrusive.

The menu offerings were extremely sound. And the food readied within a sensible time (all 3 courses at lunch within 45) and the flavours and quality were outstanding.

I wish I had more time in the city so the menu could be explored. I will be back.

It’s not the cheapest place in the city, but arguably, for a very good reason.

Excellent restaurant, the meet is so much better than steak only houses... I thought it was more seafood but my God there steak is unbelievable.

I had a good meal here, very classy and well clean. Food is good, price is good, service very good and most importantly very friendly workers. I enjoyed every food and drinks. This is a place to be if you need to be.

Great location, good food, large selection of the more common but good wines. Its a bit touristy though and the prices reflect that. Great surprise to find tango dancers performing on the street in front.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere, wine recommended was good. Just bit on the expensive side for Argentinian. Total around 180usd for 3.
