Amazing empanadas. I went out of my way to try Cow tripe and vegetable empanada with zucchini eggplant & punpkin. All delicious with a cold Quilmes

A crazy full Sunday… the best organized as they can be considering the space they have, the location and being a Sunday. The empanadas were delicious, fully recommend !

Absolutely some of the best empanadas I have had in Buenos Aires! One of my favorites is the tomato🍅 basil🌿 and my kiddos love the ham and cheese🧀 ! 🤤🥰

The line is horrendous, but the mondongo empanada is worth it. All of the empanadas are good, but the mondongo one is really something special. It's hot and saucy, and packed with flavor.

It will be more expensive than the other empanadas you can easily find, but the quality really shows, and I say, would justify the price.

A nice place to taste the Buenos Aires style empanadas when you are visiting the san Telmo market. You can watch the ladies in the front preparing empanadas. And there is an old style oven too but it looks like they don’t use it, they just use the normal oven. We tried one time first and then came together with our friends again in the same day. I tasted “Empanadas con carne, Roquefort queso, tomate albahaca queso”. My favorite is Roquefort queso, it was full of runny cheese and very rich in taste. It was 800pesos for two empanadas.

This place specialize in empanada they have a big list of choice you can choose from, not just popular for the tourist but a lot of locals come to order to go. They have a cocktail bar right across offers extra seating.
The empanada all fresh made from the oven, I love the flavor of the beef tripe (they called it beef belly stew) but the chicken and beef ones are also very good, the size are very big. You will get full after a few bites.

Popular empanada spot in San Telmo Market frequented by both locals and tourists. Staff speak English and Spanish. Many fillings and they have vegetarian options as well. Small area to sit and eat and you can order a beer if you’d like but also available for takeaway. Cash or card.

Pricier than your average side street empanada shop, and whether or not it’s worth it is subjective. They were all tasty and some flavours aren’t as common. At time of writing, $2200 ARS per ($2 USD), but some discounts if you get more eg $6000 for 3 ($5.5 USD).

I’d go here again if in the area but not necessarily out of my way given how good empanada shops there are.

So delicious! The best is carne (beef ). Service is very good but very noisy and crowded. Highly recommended!

Best empanadas in the WORLD! Being here as a student and vegan, I'm always on the lookout for affordable, veggie food. El Hornero is my go-to empanada place, I go every week and never miss the chance to go!!! I always get their veggie empanadas and honey beer, it's truly amazing. The employees are always super friendly, fast and caring. The empanadas never disappoint, they're filled with the freshest veggies and are wrapped beautifully and perfectly. My favorite part (as a huge spice lover) is eating the red spicy sauce with each bite (not exaggerating at all). I could eat El Hornero's empanadas for every meal and be the happiest person in the world! Thank you!!

In the local Mercado de San Telmo, there’s a stall selling all kinds of empanadas. Depending on the way the empanadas are pinched or wrapped on the outside, they offer different fillings inside. There’s a legend to guide you, but my favourites were the Pollo (Chicken), Jamon Y Queso (Ham & Cheese), and Cantimpalo Y Queso (Spanish style Chorizo & Cheese).

They have other specials, including Humita (Argentinian savoury corn pudding) and Locro (Native thick stew containing corn, vegetables, and some form of meat), both hearty additions to your empanadas!

Delicious, prompt and inexpensive. We ordered 7 empanadas and they totaled about 1200 pesos. They were hot and freshly made. There’s a little wrap around counter for seating at the establishment or you can order to-go. They have craft beer and wine for sale as well. Can’t wait to return!

Loved the empanadas from here! Normally tourist hotspots don’t have the best or most authentic food, but El Hornero delivered delish, quality empanadas. Plus, we enjoyed the bustle of eating them inside San Telmo market

Incredible empanadas! The store is located inside the San Telmo market. The menu offers ten different types of empanadas and discount is given if you order multiple. The service is relatively fast and the empanadas are heated up for you. It is possible to take-away or sit at one of the benches.

Best empanadas in america. I travelled through Argentina, Uruguay and Chile. Nowhere else empanadas are better!

BEST EMPANADAS IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE AND PROBABLY EVER WILL HAVE- will come back tomorrow and prob every day before I leave this city.

Empanadas were excellent - about 10 to choose from and discounts the more you get. One queue for sitting in and another one for takeaway which was a bit confusing if you don't speak Spanish!
