Tumanyan Khinkali

The meal was delightful, especially the juicy and divine fried khinkali. However, the houmous grains served as an appetizer were overly salty, possibly due to their serving style. The design is also very special and unique. I recommend eating at this place.

The atmosphere is great, the interior is beautiful. Very polite welcoming staff. It's a rare place with good service. The soup is delicious, as are the juices. We were satisfied.

This was the best food I had in Yerevan.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and there are many waiters (I felt maybe even too many sometimes :D) who are very helpful and nice. Our waiter spoke perfect English and he recommended us what to eat. Even when we were wanted oder too much, he said it's probably enough to order less, and he was absolutely right.
The Khinkali was amazing, specially the one with the minced beef meat. The one with cheese looks better, but I still prefer the other one. The Ishkhani was absolutely amazing, and the potatoes they served as a side dish with dill was also extremely tasty. Very good experience.

The Khinkalis are a must try! So juicy and the filling is so flavorful! We had the meat, chicken, mushroom and cheese Khinkalis. All amazing! Also the eggplant walnut salad that’s so fresh!

Khinkali is located in Tumanyan street. Not far from Swan lake and North Avenue walking street.
It's worth to visit this place.

Very nice and cozy restaurant with amazing atmosphere. The staff is perfect. I totally recommend this place but its little $$$, but the quality is superb !

Been here almost every night during my trip to Yerevan. I just couldn't resist to eat somewhere else. I've had Khinkali before at different places outside Yerevan and Georgia and this place makes by far the best!

The kitchen is very good, how many years have we been going there have never been badly cooked.

Of the benefits:

The price is reasonable, not expensive and not cheap.

The location is convenient for tourists, the city center has eaten - walked.

Of the minuses:

Almost always full of people (or rather not a quiet place where you can sit quietly and chat)

In my opinion, too pompous atmosphere (the impression as if I went to a museum and not to a restaurant)

If in a nutshell, I recommend to visit!

One of my fav places in Yerevan! They offer the best khinkali, a traditional Georgian dumpling filled with meat and spices. I’d suggest trying the original one and the fried cheese khinkali. Ask the server to bring local sour cream (locals call it tuhtvassér or chanakh) as it adds freshness and creaminess to the dish.
The place might be hard to locate, so follow the giant dumpling and Georgian boy signs and go downstairs. It’s underground.

Always a fantastic choice. A must go location. I make it a habit to stop by every trip to Armenia. They have coordinated service, very efficient and quick. Food is created quickly and is very tasty.

The tastiest khinkalies in Yerevan and in my life.
We tried them all over the city, and I've never had such thin dough with plenty of stuffing and juice inside with fresh cilantro. I can't even tell which ones are better: meat, cheese or mushroom. And here I'm talking only about boiled ones.
The nana (mint) tea is also very nice and refreshing, the eggplant salad is marvelous, and pakhlava will be perfect desert to end the evening.

Also, I can't tell the service is bad. The waiters are speedy even in the evening with all of the tables occupied. Nothing was mixed up, and every time we had a sweet treat from a tall waiter.

So try it and don't forget a tip!

Probably THE best restaurant in Yerevan. The Khinkali (Armenian dumplings) are just perfectly prepared and cooked. Together with some sour cream and pickles, maybe some tan (ayran) or beer it makes a very complete meal. It can get really crowded in the evening, plan in a little wait of up to 20mins. They are a little shy to speak to you in English but there is one very kind middle aged server who is fluent in English. You just need to wait shortly for your turn. Enjoy!

We've visited Armenia from Dubai as soon as they opened the border while respecting the new "corona" procedures in the country. We just passed by this store and glanced a wonderful khinkali statue outside so we had to come in to try it out (as we're khinkali lovers!). We've been amazingly treated by one of the waiters Aram who's originally from Levananon. We tried his recommended choice (2 classic beef khinkalis and 2 friends khinkalis - never tried before) and it was just tasteful! And all of this by an affordable price range. We not only fed our stomach but also our souls! Definitely a must spot when you're in Yerevan!

Great rustic taverna to sample Armenian & Georgian cuisine, this place is famous for dumplings - khinkali which are either cooked and filled with broth or deep fried. I can also recommend the refreshing cold beetroot soup with herbs and boiled egg, and the warm snack Tolmada - minced meat wrapped in cabbage or wine leaves with tomato sauce. Service is excellent, attentive and English speaking. Atmospheric terrace eating on the pavement. Medium to cheap prices. Popular with locals and tourists.

I enjoy my time in "Khinkali". First of all delicious food any best quality service. Free of charge kids menu was a surprise for my little daughter. There are two separate zones for smokers and non-smokers. Prices are competitive.
