Hovhannes Tumanyan Museum

The museum is currently closed for renovation. However, there is a small temporary exbibition featuring a selection of items at the Khatchatur Abovyan Park. I received an excellent guided visit portraying the person of Hovhannes Tumànyan. I left feeling I knew the character and works of this great cultural giant.

At Hovhannes Tumanyan Museum, you can see the writer's personal belongings, documents, manuscripts, sketches and publications in more than 45 languages. More than 18,000 exhibits are stored here. The 54 steps of the museum's staircase symbolize the years of Tumanyan's life.
Great museum, interesting place.

If you are interested in Armenian literature, than you must visit Tumanyan's museum.
It was interesting to see and listen stories about writer's life. Also the tickets aren't expensive and you can visit it with children

One of the best museums i have been too that shows the life of an individual so important to Armenia. I loved seeing the old house where Tumanyan lived and the hologram of him walking around one of his rooms was fantastic!

This is one of the best museums in Armenia. It is the old house where Tumanyan lived. There is hologram of H. Tumanyan
