Bujtina Terthorja -Theth

We had an amazing experience staying here. The location is really great, with view of the mountains on all sides. Place is not far from the hiking point. We booked a room with 5 beds on the first floor. The room is pretty nice, but doesn't have a heater. The room and the toilets are well maintained and clean. The Wi-Fi also works fine.

They serve breakfast and dinner. The food was expectional and very affordable. Fresh harvested fruits and vegetables are served with the meal, and it is absolutely decilious. Also, they have a really friendly cat that visits you while dining 🙂

People are friendly. Language was a barrier, but we were able to manage with Google translate.

I would definitely choose this place for stay, if I ever visit Theth again!

This is the best place we stayed at in Albania. It’s a family owned guest house and their food is so incredible. We’re vegan but they managed to make a whole meal for us and we had the best soup we’ve ever had. It’s such a peaceful place and it feels very calm and relaxing. We loved every minute of our stay

Small but cosy and clean rooms! Don’t expect too much from the bathroom but it was sufficient. Highly recommended to have dinner at the hotel; fresh, local, big portions and especially cheap for the high quality!! The road to Theth is an adventure on it’s own but views are stunning. Same can be expected once at the hotel, amazing scenery!!!

Lovely staff who gave us a delicious spread for dinner and breakfast. The rooms are small but comfortable. Location is great for people visiting with a car.

No kidding, the best dinner I had in years!

We accidentally booked the room a day later than we arrived and the owner was so kind to let us in and stay in a tent for a night.

The rooms, service, food and general vibes were great! The family, especially the young man that is the primary contact point, were very hospitable, always doing their best to facilitate our stay! Would also highly recommend the food, the dairy products (milk, butter, yoghurt, cheese) come from the cow on site, and the rest seems very local as well! They also have two adorable cats, one of which easily makes friends with humans:) only downside is that it is far away from the start of the trails, so count with a 30 min walk extra or a quick car ride extra each way.

Nice and quiet place, 30 minutes walking from the town center/supermarket. Plenty of space for parking and even though the last few meters are not an asphalt road it is still ok for small economy cars. The rooms are small, but warm and clean. Internet was available but we didn't use it. The dinner they prepared for us was one of the best we had! Host spoke good English and we had no problems communicating with them.

Incredible views and lovely family. The garden is the perfect place to relax, it is just beautiful. The family is incredibly nice, and they even have some cows! It was the best place in which we stayed in Albania. Would definitely go back!

This guesthouse is an absolute gem, we were sad to leave after 3 nights. The family are so kind and generous, they really went out of their way to make our stay so special by providing information about the area, excellent meals (veg friendly and very generous portions), extra blankets and fresh fruit snacks. The garden is amazing with fabulous mountain views, cows and veg crops. There is a sun room with a fire that is perfect for relaxing/ chatting with other guests.

The rooms are really cosy and private with hot showers, comfy beds and very clean.

Such a unique and homely mountain experience with a lovely family.

This is hands down a 5 star place to stay. The host and his family are exceptionally kind and welcoming. The accommodations are quiet, clean and tidy. The yard is large and has multiple seats to just sit and enjoys the views. The food is on another level. Sticking to Albanian traditions, the portions are large, yet not overwhelming. There are a series of different Albanian dishes, whether it for breakfast or dinner. It is an essential authentic experience that I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Lovely family who take care of you and make sure you feel comfortable. Highly recommend this place to stay and to eat - would repeat for sure! The mom cooks best “normal” food in Theth and the whole family make sure everything is ok for you. Located 15’ from the center of the village; there’s an alley to shorten the official road.
No doubts I’d come back here if I ever come back to Theth. ❤

10/10 score on everything. Not only is are the hosts and incredibly friendly family, the tidiness of the rooms is great and the food is simply amazing. Everything they put on the table for a very reasonable price is freshly made, such as the yoghurt and butter that comes from their own cows. Perfect stop at the end of your hike from Valbone to Theth.

Truly amazing place, can't say enough good things about it. Ervin and his family are perfect hosts. It feels like a real home, rather than a hotel, but they are always going out of their way to try to help you. Ervin speaks great English and can answer all your questions, especially about which trails you should try. The parents don't speak a word of English but are always smiling and happy to see you, and also more than happy to help

The best part is the food - easily the best we had in all of Albania. It's a bit expensive in Albanian terms (but very normal for Theth and Valbona, where supply is a bit more difficult), but you get what you pay for and more. You can also take what you don't eat and save it for the next day

One word of advice - this place is not too far from the trails, but it can be difficult to get there because it requires going on local paths that are not marked on Google or Maps.Me. Be certain to ask for VERY detailed instructions before you leave!

Best inn we stayed in in Albania! Superb food with huge portions, hot water, WiFi, excellent views, sweet & welcoming hosts, comfy bed, and the cutest cat!

Unbeliveable nice family, beautiful view 12/10 would recommend. Simple & perfect, as long as your not expecting luxus of a five star hotel you´ll have a great time!!

This is an easy 5 star review, I can't say anything less than perfection. The family is very sweet loving & helpful

The rooms are amazing, stuffed with lots of things up to a small hair dryer.

The place itself bringed peace to myself, specially that this the 2nd time for me to stay in Theth, as the first time I was near the valley, but this time I was a little bit higher than I thought i would be in the mountains.

The food, is absolutely amazing filled with different cheese & dairy products. And its a lot.

It's a different food experience than the one I had last year, watch out for your weight and colories intake in this place as it's going to be a mess 😄

Last year I said I would love to return to theth, this year am a say it once more, and definitely gonna spend it at Bujtina Terthorja.

The only downside of the place, that you definitely need a transportation, to go from the place to anywhere such as the valley or the blue Eye or visit the big waterfall of theth which is 5 km walking distance, so consider having a normal 4 wheel car in the place.

When I visited last year, the road to theth was all Rocky and muddy, this year it was repaired and it's easy now to go with a normal car not a 4 wheel one, and they are repairing the road and lining it up to the blue eye as well.

Very great place - the view is amazing and the food was really delicious. Also the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended :) it's just a bit away from the center of Theth

Astonishing. Family lets you feel like you’re part of them. Superb food at a fair price, cozy rooms. Total recommendation!
