Restaurant Tradicional Odaja

Tasty traditional food, friendly staff and welcoming vibe. We shared the rice balls, meat balls in yoghurt, stuffed eggplant and moussaka - loved it all. We also finished with an orange cake and coffee. Definitely recommend after a morning exploring the village and castle to re-energize!

My partner and I had lunch here and it was divine.
I think the stuffed eggplant dish was the best I’ve ever had!

We went for lunch, as a last minute improvisation. We had to queue for about 10 min before a table for 5 became available.
The menu was offering a large choice and despite a very quick and efficient service, all food was very fresh fresh and perfectly cooked.
Tomato meatballs and stuffed pepper were our favourites, but everything was good.
It was noisy, but we were there at rush hour on a busy August day.

Good local food, you can try not just traditional Albanian dishes but traditional fir Girocaster. The portions aren't big and they are not complete means but they cost 2-4 euros each which is wonderful as you can try several different things without getting too full. The service may be a bit slow but waiters are super friendly.

Amazing Albanian food and great service . We were lucky enough to sit on the balcony looking at the castle. No pictures of food because I was to hungry. However the lamb and meatballs with yoghurt were incredible. Highly recommend.

AMAZING food and ambience. The homemade meatballs with their homemade sauce was so delicious that we ordered it again. Everything else on the menu is also so good. Loved it and would come back every time.

GREAT traditional food, friendly staff (old couple), low prices, traditional house. Look carefully if you don't want to accidentally walk past it. They have two tables on the balcony, so maybe a good reason to come early. Definitely recommend this place

A place of food and raki. An owner who appreciates foodies and knows how to host a curious guest. Food was mouthwatering and incredibly delicious. If you get a table at the tiny balcony for 4, you should consider yourself lucky. A place worth visiting.

Loved it. Our hotel was able to get us a balcony table which had an amazing view. Small but excellent menu. We had rice balls, stuffed peppers, pork fillet and salad. House wine good also.

Excellent. We went here twice in one day, for lunch and then dinner. Food feels very traditional, but so flavourful and rich. Like you're eating at your grandma's, but in the best way. Excellent value, and probably the best place in Gjirokaster.

Traditional as it says and a very good one. Place is so nice and prices are friendly and food is really good. Liver was delicious. Small balconi is for lucky ones because there is only 2 tables for 4 people.

we loved it! it’s a small restaurant with albanian food and some typical local food. the food was so delicious, the service was fast and friendly and all in all a very authentic restaurant, that we would definitely recommend. we had the Moussaka, meatballs with homemade sauce and fried riceballs and all of it was really yummy! Also the prices were really good, so good for broke students too!

By far, it is the best traditional food we've had in all of Albania. We tried the rice balls, salads, meatballs, pastitsio, and stuffed peppers over two visits. The food came out fresh; the fried items were cooked upon order. Yum. Just yum.

Delicious lunch, hot and fresh. Nice staff! They had me at the sign on the door that said “ air conditioning”. Worth a visit.

The staff is friendly and super helpful. Our waiter was funny, and the food came fast. They also have vegan options and can accommodate dishes to fit you needs. I recommend.
