Bujtina Harusha

We arrived very late at night and had no reservation. Restaurant was closed over the NY, nevertheless they invited us in and cooked food for us past midnight! They even turned on their fireplace for us ! This place shows very well the great Albanian hospitality. Very friendly people and great local food . I would definitely visit this place again in the future.

Niko is a truly wonderful person. I arrived in his doorstep soaking wet, and he insisted on gifting me new clothes, raki and hit food. It was in no way his responsibility to help me, but he insisted on doing so out of the kindness of his heart. Niko demonstrates the very best of Albanian hospitality.

Stayed at this beautiful hotel with such breathtaking views !!! The room was very clean,with a modern shower and toiletries and beds was so comfortable, at meal times you are served a variety of traditional albanian food which was SO TASTY and the portions was huge .
Staff are very friendly , polite and welcoming , I would definitely recommend this place .

We stumbled across this place when we moved out of the guesthouse we had originally booked because we didn’t like it.
It was honestly a blessing. We loved everything about it! The whole family was so lovely, friendly and helpful with everything. Nico and his brothers spoke perfect English :)
The room was clean and spacious with a very comfy bed and nice mountain views from the porch. The food was always delicious and very filling (typical Albanian..) and we had no problem to get vegetarian options.
The WiFi was fast, showers were hot.. unless the power went out but that’s a problem that the whole village has.
If we ever come back.. definitely to this place 💗

Very well maintained guest house. The welcome is warm. Nico, Francesco and all the family have valuable advice for hikers… Even in the middle of April. The food is delicious and partly from their property (eggs, honey…) and the plates are generous. The perfect place to start the Balkan peaks trek!

Best guesthouse you could get in Theth! Nico knows the mountains really well and offered great advice on the hiking trails. The dinner and breakfast were top notch! Everyone was really friendly and I absolutely enjoyed my stay.

We just have good words about this place. Beautiful location, amazing dinner and very very cold beer to drink after the walks, rooms are great. Staff are very friendly and helpful, had so much fun there. I would 100% go back there

Best place to stay in Theth! Family run guest house with comfortable spacious rooms and delicious meals. Niko and Francesco can speak great English too. Breakfast includes home made Cheese, Jam, Honey, Pancakes, Bread and comes with Mountain Tea and Coffee. Dinners are also divine and would highly recommend. Hosts also have great recommendations for walks in the area. Would certainly return!

The brothers are very friendly and make you feel like home.

Arrived in Theth at 1am to find we couldn’t access our intended accommodation - managed to find someone at reception here who gave us the 1 spare room available for the night at a good price - room was very comfortable however the curtains were super thin so was woken very early by sunlight.

Breakfast was great and service exceptional

Really friendly family and Incredible location. Only minor downside was it was a bit chilly in the room (fixed with epic Albanian blankets and they are currently installing heating) and the shower flooded easily but nothing a few towels didn't fix! I recommend staying here if you want the best food in Theth! Thanks to Nico and everyone else who we met.

There are not enough words do describe how satisfied we are from this place! A family is running this place and they are doing an amazing job. The rooms are spacious and with very good conditions, but are simple and functional. The beds are comfortable, the sheets are clean and smell amazing. They have so warm blankets that if you are visiting the place in the summer you will find them too warm. The bathroom is clean and the water is running good, no need to worry about showers and everything. The food, the food is whole different level. Everything is homemade. The cheese, the eggs, everything. And it is delicious. The breakfast is included in the price for the room and it is made by cheese, jam, honey, eggs, pancakes, bread, butter, tomatoes and cucumbers. Very good start of the day. If you want dinner - you will not regret this decision. Lamb meat, different appetizers, salads. And again - everything is homemade. The prices are reasonable, not cheap but definitely not expensive. There is a camping place if you want. And the place is motorcycle friendly with a secure parking in front of the building. If you are in Theth - you must stay at this place!

If your going to the theth, you need to book in a couple of nights with these guys! Amazing family run business with incredible food and facilities. Excellent locality to all that the valley has to offer. Unbelievably comfortable bed and linen, perfect after a day on the pins 🚵‍♂🧗‍♀

Wonderfull place.
The hosts were so kind and welcoming. The rooms are nice and clean but the food, the food is on another level. Locally hand made, the real taste.

We had an amazing time here. Guesthouse Harusha is not the cheapest one in Theth, but it is worth it. The family running the guesthouse is very friendly, the young sons of the family speak very good english and they are respectful and kind. They serve you breakfast and dinner any time you want to. You can also have a lunch package with you if you are hiking during the day. They have regional food like the self made goat cheese, fig or quince marmalade. They grow their own seasonal vegetables and have many chicken, cows and even bees. It is no problem if you are a vegetarian, they will serve you every day a different warm soup and a variety of regional food. We had the best time here and enjoyed the wonderful nature in and around Theth. We can totaly recommend it :)

The Bujtina Harusha Guesthouse was a highlight on our trip through the Balkans. It is a family-run guesthouse, with a great location in Theth. The rooms are spacious, with a private bathroom and clean. We felt very welcome by the friendly family and enjoyed wonderful views of the Albanian Alps. We can highly recommend the home-made food, everything is fresh from their own garden. We were a group of seven friends who went to Theth. The Bujtina Harusha is a great starting point also for the hike to Valbona. We could have stayed even longer than our three nights, because we felt so comfortable at Bujtina Harusha and Theth's surroundings provide plenty of amazing hikes. The owners love and know the area very well and provide useful recommendations for their guests.
