Learned an important piece of Da Lat's history. An asset that is very well-kept, and the yard looked perfect. For tourists with young children like my family, having the stall selling slushies really helped to keep them happy 😊. i think this Palace is a must-visit for any tourist here.

Nice and beautiful palace. I love the way this to be organised and really clean inside. Be proud that VN has a city like Dalat, Vung Tau, Danang, Hue etc. where still reserve all belonging to the King, the last dynasty that was mixed both VN and western Europe style…

A nice place to visit. I paid 90,000 vnd for 1 person, and got free flower tea. You can ride a horse if you want, but enjoying the beautiful surroundings with flowers is enough for me.

Sprawling estate just outside Dalat city centre with plenty to learn and explore about the last emperor. Initially I wanted to visit Palace #3 but was advised to visit here instead by the Grabcar driver. It was indeed a solid recommendation.

One of a tourist spot in Da Lat, Vietnam. A legendary king palace with scenic view outside. Must wear footwear to enter the palace. You can enjoy riding horse outside the palace.

Highly recommend! Nice historical place to visit. We bought the ticket of 150k for the entrance fee and activities. A ticket for the entrance only with no activities is 50k (if I remember correctly).
6 Activities included in the ticket are one-way tram ride, taking picture with horses, games (mini-golf), photos with wax statues, 1 soda at the cafeteria, and pictures in king/queen clothes. One-way tram ride is too short. But all other activities are really fun.

A bit touristic but if you look beyond all the colorful decors, there is depth of history and culture in all of the colonial buildings hidden in a pine forest.

Pretty amazing historic building to sustain to this date. Learning more about my roots and of course, our 13th and final emperor of the Nguyen dynasty. He has a total of 3 locations and I only get to visit one of them during this trip. Will definitely check out the other 2 when I come up here again in the near future.
Highly recommended.

Great place to spend an hour or two. Amazing architecture and garden. The colors in the palace were very vibrant and attractive while the air was very fresh. Entrance tickets are very worthwhile at only VND50k. Highly recommended while you are in Dalat!

Beautiful setting. Lots of history. One can spend 2-3 hours enjoying the surroundings. The palace itself is very European!

Impressive gardens and exhibits in the grounds and palace buildings of Bảo Đại, who was the 13th and final Emperor of the Nguyễn dynasty, the last ruling family of Vietnam from 1926 to 1945. Also the helicopter used by the first premier for travel to and from HCMC. An outdoor coffee shop and the souvenir shops and games stalls make for an enjoyable visit for the family. Definitely worth a visit when in Dalat.

The music along the path to the main building is great. This is the most beautiful property of King Bao Dai in Da Lat.

One of the highlights of our tour around Da Lat is the historical Bao Dai 1 Palace. This served as the former royal residence of the last emperor of Vietnam. It is built in French architecture that resembles a chateau. It looks really gorgeous especially at day time with the beautiful garden. The whole place is surrounded by a lot of pine trees and flowering plants like hydrangeas and they are aplenty.

I have to say I’m a bit disappointed, the building and history is great but there is not much to see except the main palace. Anything you want to do from pictures taking you have to pay. However it’s history it’s the only places in this town
