Chô Family Homestay Serviced

Cho’s homestay is a gem. Wonderful family, Cho always takes time to chat and explain. He is also a great cook and served up a great variety of food.
We went trekking in the area and heard so many facts and stories. The homestay location is amazing, the views from the deck breathtaking.
We decided to stay 5 nights and discover the area from Cho’s.

Chô family is a wonderful place to stay in Bac Ha. I stayed a few days there after crossing very remote locations in the north and stay with locals. During the week it’s pretty quiet, and I had the chance to discuss a lot with the family and Chô. His 11 yo son showed me the surroundings, we went on a trek together, and went to Can Cau market together. On the week ends the home stay is pretty full, despite the large amount of people, the service remains perfect. You’ll be able to have dinner and breakfast at the place. I’m really looking forward to meeting them again, I won’t ever forget this wonderful experience. Thank you 🙌🏼

Wow. This place is simply incredible. Mr Chô is such a kind and loving man who greeted us into his home with an open heart. He is also a great chef and made us some of the best food I've ever eaten (catering for my vegetarian friend without problem too)
The location is incredible, with breathtaking views from the balcony upstairs and more rooms being built slightly up the hill with a direct line of sight to the surrounding mountains.
The rooms are great with a very comfortable bed and warm wooden touches throughout.
Overall I can say this is a magical place and I would come back in a heartbeat.

Cho was an excellent guide! He took us on a two day hike through the hills and rice terraces around Bac Ha... some spectacular scenery! We stayed one night at Cho Family Homestay just outside of Ban Pho. Such a beautiful location, delicious food, cozy bed all in an amazing wooden house with a fantastic tiled patio with scenic views. Cho and Chau are great hosts, friendly and knowledgeable and they speak perfect English. We felt very welcome and comfortable. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Vietnam. Highly recommended!

Wonderful homestay with a lovely family. They are great cooks and served the nicest food I've had in Vietnam yet. The house itself is in a beautiful setting right next to a stream with a family of ducks. Cho is also a guide and can show you some great trekking routes around glorious Bac ha. We stayed a night with Cho, and wished we could have stayed longer. The homestay is new, with clean (but small) rooms with excellent large bed. Shared bathroom with hot shower. The homestay is new and is in an excellent location for enjoying the nature. The city is about a 2 km walk, and we did a fantastic nature walk with Cho (5$/pp), in about 3 hours we did 15000 steps, up and down the valleys and authentic villages. Cho is a very good guide, and his english is very good. To me, the nature in and around Bac Ha is nicer than in the very touristy Sa Pa valley. We did not see a single tourist on our walk.
Oh, and did I mention that Cho makes a great dinner and breakfast?

By far the best homestay in the area : super comfortable bed, clean bathroom, beautiful patio, excellent food... Cho and his wife are really welcoming. Cho was our guide for a trek in the mountains for 4 days and was wonderful. He took great care of us. He spoke really good English!

Beautiful view, brand new and clean bungalow. Especially, the host is really friendly! Highly recommend in Bac Ha.

Mr. Cho gentle man, who is excelent guide for treks, he cooks delicious meal for his guests. His English is very good. Homestay in traditional style is new builded and clean. Bathroom the same. Rooms are cute and tiny. Homestay is situated in the village garden, between the rise fields and mountains, 2km far from Bac Ha market. I can fully recommend Cho homestay and trekking!

Chô is the most welkoming person we met in South-East Asia. He cooks amazingly well and there is plenty of food!

The guesthouse is very clean and the sourounding is really quiet!

Highly recommend staying with Cho. Cho's English is very good, the home stay is extremely clean, the food is fantastic and authentic as it comes, the surrounds make for beautiful scenery, and the hospitality is fantastic.
