One of the best seafood experiences we've had in Vietnam. Great, fresh, deliciously prepared sea food, excellent service (perfect English by the owner), nice atmosphere. We spent two nights on the island and ended up having both dinners here since it was so great the 1st evening. We don't regret it. Highly recommended!

We’ve lived in Vietnam for a few years and love exploring local seafood. This place is top notch! The hosts made us some amazing dishes: fresh grouper, shrimp, grilled squid, local clams.

Our hotel suggested we try Thu Ba. We have pretty adventurous taste, so are often reluctant to take recommendations from the hotel but I’m so glad we took this one. Great hosts, delicious food!!

The food is well prepared by the owners. They are very friendly and keen to help. The lady owner speaks English. Call ahead by 30 minutes to order spring rolls, they are some of the best on Con Dao San. Be patient as they take their time making each order. The portion sizes are ample.

Underrated! Thu Ba's daughter Thuy speaks good English and understands food and service. She fixed everything I wanted during my week here, like Sashimi, raw locally raised grass fed beef, raw pork belly with a lot of fat and much more.

Very good food. Price is a bit expensive but acceptable. The restaurant owner is very friendly

We had our Christmas Dinner there and it was delicious! The waitress can speak english and is very friendly. I can highly recommend it!

I ordered vegetarian fried rice and a cabbage salad, and both were amazing! They tasted great, and the portions were huge. Definitely good value for money. Vibe was a little lacking, and there were not very many people in there.

Delicious and very fresh food, although it's a bit expensive. They let you pick your fish or crabs or shrimp fresh from the tank, and then prepare it for you however you like. Lots of options as well, and they are good at recommending local specialities. We tried the Oc Vu Nang snails which are a local speciality and they were great! Accompanied with our red grouper hot pot and rau muong xao toi it was the perfect meal 😁

This place is amazing. Fresh seafood you can pick right from their catch. Clean, friendly and delicious. I highly recommend stopping by this place for really good seafood.

This restaurant was so delicious. The hosts were friendly and service was spot on. The grilled fish and garlic shrimp were incredible. People who are saying it's overpriced I completely disagree with. Having lived in Vietnam for the past three years, it's priced right where it should be for the quality fresh seafood. Would recommend to anyone visiting.

Followed Lonely Planet advice and tried this place. We weren't disappointed on the tastiness of the dishes although it was quite expensive, but that's pretty normal with good seafood. Garlic and ginger fish dish and the shrimp dish recommended by our waitress was delicious. The service was fast and polite.

Delicious seafood dishes, great and very helpful staff who make the best recommendations... We enjoyed 1. fresh white tuna in a savoury lemongrass-sweet pepper sauce and 2. Shrimps with veggies and garlic - both with steamed rice. Just delicious! In the mood for a cocktail? Try the Mango-smoothie with Vodka! 😋

Thu ba is an excellent restaurant on con dao island. The family that runs it is so friendly and willing to offer recommendations. We ate here twice and both times were a standout. From the garlic shrimp to the ginger chicken, to the crab and the barbecue fish (a must), they take great care in their food. It is completely delicious and the portions are a good size. Definitely recommended.

Food was very good. Fish is very fresh (still swimming around in tanks). Not a salubrious place but would definitely recommend. Slightly more expensive than traditional vietnamese restaurants; however this is very good seafood.

Fish, lobster, and crab that is the stuff of legends, and service that will blow your hair back.

Probably best food in the island! Prices are little higher than in other restaurants (100 - 150K VND for one meal) but certainly you have to try at least once. They have menu in English, staff is very kind and owner speaks excellent English. Some dishes are suitable for vegetarians (noodles, tofu).
