The Vinh Ancient Wall
Vinh City is on the 60th anniversary of its establishment. On this extraordinary moment, we should sit together and take a look at the implementation of the “ Vinh Ancient Wall ” Planning Project which was awarded the 3rd “Loa Thành Prize” in 2020. This landmark is the heart and footprint of the City.
With 40ha area and a population is 2200 people located in 3 wards Đội Cung, Quang Trung, and Cửa Nam corresponding with 3 entrances “ Hữu Môn, Tả Môn, Tiền Môn.” Most of the land is a residential habitat with 4-5 average stories which is isolated from the surrounding area by a 3-meter deep canal system. Others are the Nghe An Historic Museum, Nghe An Radio Station, Đội Cung Tomb, and Vinh Stadium.
This plan almost conserved the basic values from the origin 18th century including Culture and Retail Outlets. This region is a small area and does not cover various aspects such as politics, entertainment, and economy. Its highlighted point is Nghe An Sports Complex which consist of gymnasiums, practicing fields, a swimming pool, a martial art center, and last but not least Vinh Stadium.
Vinh Stadium is a very beautiful and exciting place that is a must-see. Located at the center of the Wall, it has a capacity of 18,000 seats and 8,500 soccer field. Here is a shelter of Sông Lam Nghệ An Soccer Team which is the most traditional value of Vietnam. Please keep your eyes on the photo from the high. It is like the Pearl of the City.
10 years from the approval of the 26th Resolution of the Political Bureau, Nghe An province is progressing in such a way strongly and comprehensively. The traditional values continue to be preserved. Especially, Vinh Ancient Wall was renovated originally!
