The tastiest food ever… We had the traditional set menu. Spring rolls to start were good, but the pho and main course were amazing. Highly recommend!

Only had dessert here. Amazing chocolate mousse with vanilla ice cream, enjoyed absolutely every bite! Staff is nice. I do recommend 100% although a bit expensive.

One of the best feeds you will get in Hanoi hands down. This street has very authentic Vietnamese cuisines. Check it out as a must.

Another place we found a good selection of vegetarian food. Was recommended by our hotel bell desk.
We had Pho rice noodles with vegetables and shrimp rolls. The food was very good. Would recommend this place. Go with a booking.

So glad we visited this restaurant. Great value for food and I love the attention to detail in their presentation like the cinnamon stick that the chopsticks rests on. Their BBQ pork in lemon grass (Bún Chà) was to die for, it was so good that we almost came back the following day.

This is an expensive restaurant in the heart of Hanoi old quarter. The food and service of the staff was exceptional! I tried their chef recommended and restaurant favourite grilled catfish with rice noodles. It was served in a sizzling plate and the entire rice paper, sauce and rolling experience made my first Vietnamese food experience memorable.

Food - 10/10
Service - 11/10
Ambience - 8/10
Location - 10/10

I would recommend this place if you don’t mind splurging for one nice meal. The staff was very courteous, they also offered a welcome dish which I thought was a nice touch!

Set out for dinner at anther restaurant that apparently had closed down. Stopped at a nearby hotel and the receptionist suggested this place. I arrived about 15 minutes after they closed. I explained the situation to James,  the general manager,  who greeted me upon my entrance and he invited me to stay and eat.  After a quick glance at the menu I opted for a set Vietnamese menu with an appetizer, soup, entree and dessert. The spring roll appetizer included a fried spring roll and a traditional spring roll with shrimp & pork. Both were delicious. The BBQ pork was in a slightly sweet broth of fish sauce with a mild lemongrass flavor, and was amazing. The black sticky rice in yogurt with ice cream was the right amount of sweet to complete the meal. While I was apprehensive at first, it was quite good. This was the best meal I had while in Hanoi. The hospitality shown by James and his staff was exemplary. They made me feel very welcome even though I arrived late and was accrual "that guy". If you're in Hanoi, do yourself a favor and visit Duong restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

After having spent two days in the historical quarter,- we found this hidden gem of Vietnamese food. The quality was outstanding! I tried many spring rolls before, but not in this quality. Fresh, crunchy and so delicious. Extra sauce and an amazing combination of herbs and spices. The chef is one of the finest. Our second course was the next culinary surprise. We wanted to be safe and ordered papaya salad,- but the chef put it on a new level. Absolutely great. Main dish was no less than that. I’ll definitely come back and will highly recommend Duongs restaurant to all people who are in love with Vietnamese food.

This was a very enjoyable meal with subtle twist on Vietnamese classics. It's a small (Vietnamese) menu. There are also several Western options. If you are doing standard classic dishes then to stand out is a real challenge. We think Duongs succeeds. The staff are efficient but certainly not overwhelming or obsequious. The two of us shared set classic 1 and 2 and it was excellent. We did feel that the ice-cream didn't work with the more subtle dessert - and we like ice cream, but otherwise great. Recommended

Went here after reading about it in the Michelin guide and also recommended by hotel as a place to celebrate my birthday. Relaxed atmosphere, very pleasant staff and excellent food. Really good fusion. We ate from the a la carte. Traditional Vietnamese dishes with a little refinement. A complimentary birthday dessert at the end of our meal as well. Thoroughly recommend. You won't be disappointed and very good value.

This is the most memorable experience I have here in Hanoi - an experience that tantalises all senses - sight, smell, taste, hearing, and touch - with the very chef Duong of the restaurant. It started with preparing the pho soup, and while the pho soup is simmering, we went for a trip to the local market on a cyclo. On the trip back, we savoured a few street dishes recommended by the chef - that on our own we wouldn’t have tried - like the fried river worm pancake - mixture made of river worm in season, egg, pork and dill. Then it was more cooking after that, followed by a sumptuous lunch of our “fruits of labour” - beef brisket and pork pho, fresh spring roll, and bun cha. A must-do here in Hanoi! Thumbs-up up to Chef Duong and the entire very warm and friendly crew.

The best restaurant we were in Hanoi. We loved the food, the service, the place, everything. We tried the vietnamese set menu and everything was delicious. It was a nice lunch, probably a more expensive than the places around but it totally worth it. If you are in Hanoi you should tried this!

Excellent food and ambience.
We found this restaurant via Google for nearby to Silk Path hotel and were very pleasantly surprised. Our party had either BBQ pork skewers or tiger prawn mains. Our waiter Johnie Walker, even took the prawns from their shells for the ladies!
The desserts were all absolutely fabulous too.

The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service

Amazing dinner! We had the chef’s fixed menu with wine, which is pricier than many of the surrounding restaurants but still less expensive than anywhere in the States (five courses with paired wine for $50/person). It was delectable. We loved the unique aesthetic, the daring Vietnamese food, and the attention to service and detail. We arrived later, around 8pm, so did not have a wait, but we could tell that they were just coming off a heavy dinner service. Would recommend making a dinner reservation if you go during earlier dinner hours.

A surprisingly good restaurant tucked inside a busy alley. After a few days of street food in Hanoi , restaurant setting actually becomes a kind of comfort! Friendly service and refine Vietnamese dishes made the restaurant a total worthwhile!

Had a great time at Duong’s Restaurant last night. It’s newly reopened so there was only a set menu available. They were quite accommodating in letting my friend who had stomach issues order one plate. The service was great and the food was as well. The standouts were the spring rolls, beef pho, grilled fish, and the Vietnamese meatballs (bun cha). Definitely check this place out.

Duong’s had only just reopened when I was in hanoi a few weeks back. In summary, it’s a safe option for foreigners who want to enjoy a cross section of Vietnamese cuisine with modern preparation and presentation. It’s a fixed menu so you go on a bit of journey as the dishes are served. I couldn’t fault the service
